Hello,

Civil Engineering is indeed a very good branch. But some people consider this a poor choice as there are not much opportunities for Civil Graduates in India . But there are tons of opportunities in Dubai, Australia, UK etc.

Most of the Civil graduates in India opt for IT Jobs after their degree completion as job opportunities in core sector are less and competition is tough . Government Jobs are also good Option after Civil Engineering.

There wouldn't be such good infrastructure if not for Civil Engineers. A fresher of Civil graduate get a low salary around 2.5 - 4 lakhs but after a few years of experience they earn as much as any engineering branch graduate.
