You haven't mentioned about the counselling for which you are going for documents verification.
But even then, whichever counselling it may be , certificate from class 1 to 10 th is never asked. If you are going for some graduation course, you need just your 10th
Yes of course it is ok to go for basic Maths if you want to pursue science stream with PCB in your 11th and 12th as maths is not required for PCB science, so there will be no problem.

If you want to make your career in computer science then, you need not to emphazise of any of math. Just study the maths which are normally in sllybus like of class 10, 11 and 12. But try to learn the concepts nicely so that it will help you
