There are entrance examinations conducted by polytechnic colleges in various states. For example, there is JEXPO : admissions to polytechnic colleges and institutions in West Bengal. Also, Uttar Pradesh conducts the UP Joint Entrance Examinations for Polytechnic Diploma Admissions.

As you are asked to fill in the minimum marks in the application form of BU, Jhansi, you are to fill in the minimum passing marks of your board. Like it its 33 for CBSE, you can fill 33 in that column. A few boards have different passing

St. Xavier's Kolkata take admission in their B.Sc. Economics programme on the basis of class 12th marks. Mathematics is a compulsory subject for the admissions (Business Maths won't work). Yes in hsc the marks of practical and theory are combined together after both paper one should get atleaat  35% to pass hsc

X score in 22 marks in theory out of 70 marks and x score 25 marks in practical out of 30 marks and
