The syllabus of class 11th & 12th is very important for further entrance exam so I would suggest you to cover the complete syllabus as it will help you for the basis concepts of the subjects. Don't prefer the shortcuts in class 11th.

yes it's compulsory to fill the form with 10th class certificate.  As  10th and 12th are the main criteria for judging and recruiting students for the further qualifications  or Job opening .

To convert Class 10 CBSE CGPA marks, multiply 9.5 with your CGPA, to get the marks in percentage.

Eg. If your CGPA in Class 10 CBSE is 10, marks in percentage = (10 x 9.5) % = 95 percent
