first of all your grades are not best they are just par for the courses like B.Tech or pharmacy .and second thinsg is the placement offers come through the talent of one not previous record of academics .they checjk only the percentages of the B.Tech or the pharmacy.but
Your 12th percentage will make you ineligible for IIM A/B/C/I. But, you have chances at other IIM's. So prepare well and since you belong to a non engg background, you have a higher chance of converting with a good percentile in CAT 2018.
