82%ile is too low to get into NITs.
For NITs/IIITs/GFTIs you need more than 96%ile.
You can get state engineering colleges .You must be knowing form this year onwards almost all state engineering college will take admission on the basis of JEE mains marks .So you should apply

If you are intrested in engineering then at first you should make your concepts clear .It means you have very less score in PCM and whatever you have studied in indermediate the same you will have to study in your engineering.
