Most of the college have seat process as they have to prior notice to AICTE for increasing seat.

Almost all private institutions have seat process, maybe some institutions provide unlimited seat but their authenticity will not be good.

It won't affect much but you should have been careful while marking on the omr sheet .But still ,your roll no is assigned with a specific barcode on the omr sheet ,so the invigilator would rectify it once the paper was submitted because he/she crosschecks after examination.
