Yes, of course you can apply for marine bioalogy after all being a botany honours  student.You can apply for it but minimum eligibility is you need to get is 55% marks in botany and zoology.The all india institute of medical science,new delhi pffers this course.

Well I am sorry but with this rank you will not be able to get into CUSAT. The cutoffs for your preferred branches don't usually cross 1000 even for the reserved categories so a rank of 2310 doesn't come into consideration.

Maybe you should give it a shot in the next year or go for other alternatives this year.

yes you surely can get fire and safety branch of cusat with NRI waiting of 2. You might need to wait longer as the number of rounds usually extends late and meanwhile don't kill your other options and keep on trying at other places also. You cannot be 100% sure about allotment.
