As far as i know  ,  physics and chemistry certifications is actually not needed in becoming a computer science engineer but knowledge of both physics and chemistry is required to be an engineer. Physics and chemistry is basically  connected with maths whereas maths is directly connected with computer science.  Maths is the primary requirement in becoming a software professional, as in computer science we have to develop no. Of logics and these logics can only be formulated with the help of maths . Therefore , we can say maths is the foundation of cs .

Whereas , Using computational chemistry, a computer may comprehend a particular scientific concept, such the structure of a protein, and then discover how it works in practise. The reason is simple, C is a procedural language which contains lot of source lines of code even for a simple program.
