i have failed in class 12th in 2017 and then reappeared the following year for every subject theory in 2018 and scored 62.5% am i eligible for companies like TCS wipro Cognizant etc?

Karamvir Singh 17th Jul, 2021

Hey,

Your placement with any of the famous company including TCS, Wipro, Cognizant etc. does not depend upon your class 12 performance. It will solely depend upon upon your performance in your bachelors/masters degree which you have chosen. Better to forget that you got a reappear and move forward. This will certainly not affect your placement at the top companies.

All the best

i have a 1 year gap after class 10 but completed 11 and 12 continously ..and completed my btech degree with 8 cgpa without any gap.i secure 83% in 10 and 74% in 12.Can i eligible for tcs wipro cognizant?

NAVNEET PANDEY 18th Apr, 2021

Hello Rizvi,

You are eligible for all the companies as their only eligibility criteria is more than 60% marks in your bachelor's degree, as you have 8 cgpa, which is enough as well as very good score which wi benifit you in your interview.

So you can apply for the aptitude tests and can prepare for your selection.

I hope it helps,

Best of luck.

I have missed to accept my date of joining for virtual on boarding in cognizant portal. At this stage, is my offer terminated due to non acceptance of date of joining or is my job still there and should await for new date of joining?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 29th Nov, 2020

hi,

see different company has different policy for hiring or joining freshers or new employee. however at this case I suggest you to immediately contact with the HR team who are responsible for your batches for joining. you may email or get the phone number and describe your  issues. right now it solely depends on human resource team and their policy of hiring.

Im a CTS aspirent and forgot my alternative mail ID given to the cognizant drive. As they are sending mail to that alternative mail ID given I forgot the mail given. How could I get it. Please help me regarding this please...!

Anirudh Singh 17th Nov, 2020

Hi.

Solution to your query will be through a means of hit and trial since this is not a generic question. So, there are following things you can try:

  1. Contact the head/coordinator/in-charge regarding this matter and ask them if they could find your registration form or something alike, that has your alternate MAIL ID. However, it is quite unknown that a drive would choose to send email to an alternative rather than primary email.
  2. If t was GMAIL then there is always a phone number or another gmail id attached as a recovery measure you could try accessing the confirmation ID from your primary id.

Please let me know if any of the above work and it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you have separate professional and personal email ids and also use alternative email ids for other purposes instead of giving them in an important drive.

If you have more query then please feel free to comment.

Best of Luck.

what is cgpa cut-off for Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant?

pratiksha1002satpathy 15th Oct, 2020
Hey Yashwanth,
Normally the CGPA is for the eligibility criteria, it doesn't affect much in your interview, all that matters is the way you perform at interview. But for just formality CGPA 6 is the minimum, sometimes students with good CGPA may not get the placement.
Hope this helps you

plzz anybody clearify me..I have given two times 12th board (from first time I got only 56% and second time I got 60.8%). Im currently studying B-Tech 3rd year (IT) ..my question is for any job it will difficult for the getting job like TCS Wipro cognizant Capgemini etc..plzz tell me

Siddhi Shenoy 18th Sep, 2020

Hello Anand Kumar,

Your 12th marks might not matter but your semester marks from first year onwards matters for getting a job in companies such as TCS and WIPRO. Those students who have a constant score of at least 60% in their semester exam since first year have higher chances to get jobs. Also, your resume and your project work matters. So, see that you have built a good resume and that your project is creative so that the companies consider your skills. Also, develop your personality to be able to answer interviews properly (if selected) .

Good luck!

I am campus placed as UNDERGRADUATE TRAINNEE at Cognizant Technology Solutions and I have scored raw score 23 and percentile score 75 in TANCET 2020. I am interested to do MBA. Which will be a good option to take next step in my career ?

harshitasharansrivastava Student Expert 10th Jul, 2020

Hi Dear,

With 75 percentile in TANCET you will have option to get into following colleges:

  • Chettinad College of Engineering and Technology-Karur
  • Hallmark Business School - [HBS]
  • JJ College of Engineering and Technology, Tiruchirappalli
  • Coimbatore Institute of Management and Technology, Coimbatore

Also, taking admission in MBA this year will definitely affect your placement due to covid-19 pandemic. If this is not your last attempt and you can give MBA entrance exam next year, then i'll recommend you to join job at cognizant and try for MBA admission next year. By then you'll also have work expirience which will help you in MBA and future career growth.

Good Luck

I have been placed at Cognizant technology solutions and scored 75 percentile in TANCET 2020. I am interested to do MBA. Which is the best option? Could you please clear my next step of career ?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 10th Jul, 2020

Sarika, you haven't mentioned the Designation that you have received as a part of your placement at Cognizant. But with your percentile in TANCET and going by previous year's data, you have a chance at:

  • CEC College
  • PSG College
  • SSN School of Management
  • UNOM
  • Thiagarajar School of Management

So you need to take a call based on your Placement designation. But truth be told, right now, the market is pretty tight and opportunities have become lesser. So you can take up the offer from Cognizant and then put up couple of years of experience and then appear for CAT. CAT scores are accepted across all the 20 IIMs and almost all top B Schools. And the package is nothing less than 15 lakhs per annum on an average. So it is still a win win for you if you join Cognizant now and appear for CAT 2-3 years later. Because  IIMs shortlist candidates for the interview stage based on their own criteria, which may be independent of each other. The process may include Written Ability Test, Group Discussion, and Personal Interviews. Performance in the CAT examination is an important component in the admission process. IIMs may additionally use other factors such as the previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience, gender and academic diversity and other similar inputs in shortlisting and ranking of candidates at various stages of the admission process. The processes, academic cut-offs and the weights allocated to the evaluation parameters may vary across IIMs. This is where your Work Experience might help you score few extra points. But still the final call should be yours. Good luck:)

Hello aspirant

See, it can be seen in two ways, I mean in your second attempt you got 60+ % that will plus point and on the other hand it is not secured by you have in first attempt.

See during Campus selection first of all your B. Tech results will be taken into consideration, your participation in extra activities, your over all 4 years pointer, aptitude test, your behavior in college, your performance in 3-4 rounds of interview, everything accounts. After that if they find two candidates equal in every aspect then your xii and x  result will taken as comparison factor

But don't worry you are 60% + in HSC, If you perform well in B. Tech , you will surely get good company .
