see cutoff score changes in every year, it varies with number of applicants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, students category etc. based on careers360 rank analyzer your probable overall rank would be 4297 - 4830 . however at this score you have decent chances for DTU, NSUT, Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi . I got 44 percentile which college can I get ?

Sowmya Konkala 21st Feb, 2021

Hello aspirant,

From your profile ,according to https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile/amp which gives analysis about marks vs percentile with previous year analysis 44 percentile would fetch you marks around 21-30 on 300.As you did not mention your category considering you as Gen student, you did not qualify the exam.according to 2020 cutoff 90 percentile is the cutoff for Gen category student and you fetching 44 means you did not qualify the exam.just qualifing the exam doesn't fetch you seat because the seat cutoff will be different to colleges.you need minimum of 94+percentile for Gen category to fetch seat in some college and to fetch seat in better colleges you need a really good percentile above 97-98+.for more information about the marks vs percentile vs rank analysis you can refer to: https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile/amp to improve your score in jeemain you can refer to: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-jee-main-april/

Hope this helps,

Thankyou.

KJ Somaiya Sion or VESIT best for EXTC

harshitasharansrivastava Student Expert 14th Jan, 2021

Hello Dear,

KJ Somaiya is a autonomous college while VESIT is affiliated by the Mumbai University. both are great institutions. But if you are inclined towards sports and other activities, go with KJ Somaiya. If your marks are good, put KJ Somaiya above VESIT.Also note that fees for KJ Somaiya is much higher than that for VESIT.

Good Luck

what is the difference between the management seat and normal/regular seat in a college admissions?

shubham 22nd Dec, 2020

Hello,

Admission seats for any general admission are divided into regular and management.

Regular seats are the ones which eill be normally allocate to you through online admission process. They can be around 75-85 % of total seats. Remaining seats and the seats which left of regular seats after online admission process will be charged more by college for students who aspire to take admission in that college but dont have that much score.

So basically if you have low score but still want admission in specific college then you may go for management quota seats.

I study in 12th class in kashmir how can I prepare to get into us colleges like MIT, and i dont have a that much achievements in extra curricular activities and will the uncertainity of kashmir region help to get any privileges during college admissions

Nive 30th Dec, 2020

Hello, admissions to MIT  and other top 5 institutions in US can be possible if you have top percentile scores in your academics i.e. above 98 percentage and should have scored around 800 in your SAT exam .There wont be no any relaxation in your admission process based on your resident ship. But you can secure a seat in the next level institutes with your academics and a good SAT score . Based on your profile  you will be called for further interview rounds. Being thorough with your academics' foundation and showcasing your potential will help you in the interview rounds
