If you have cleared the backlog already then you are eligible but if you are having backlog at present then you are not eligible.Candidate should not have any present backlog upto the last semester / year for which results have been declared upto the time of submission of application.This is the criteria for the backlog and cds exam eligiblity.

As per the eligibility criteria of UPSC CDS for Air Force Academy, it states that candidates need to pass graduation in any discipline from a recognized university with physics and mathematics at 10+2 level or passed BTech/BE for a duration of four years from a recognized university, those in the finaly years can also apply on provisional basis, the age limit is 20 to 24 years, hence if you had the required subjects at 10+2 level then you're eligible to appear for the exam, to know more detailed information for this, visit our page at https://competition.careers360.com/articles/cds-eligibility-criteria

I'm extremely sorry to inform you dear but you are not eligible for CDS with your diploma qualification.
This is because,
Diploma in engineering is just equivalent to 10+2 but to be eligible for CDS ,you need to be at least a graduate . So, if you want to appear for CDS examination then yes you need to pursue btech or any other graduate course.
For reference,
Educational qualifications required for CDS is provided below:-
* Indian Military Academy :- you need a bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Those who are in final year of their degree are also eligible.
* Indian Naval Academy :- Must have bachelor's degree in engineering or should be in final year of your engineering.
* Air Force Academy :- You should have bachelor's degree in engineering or Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with physics and mathematics in your 10+2 level . Those who are in final year of their degree are also eligible
* OTA (Men) :- you need a bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Those who are in final year of bachelor's degree are also eligible.
* OTA (Women - Non-Technical) :- you need a bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Those who are in final year of their degree are also eligible

Yes, you are eligible for CDS Airforce.
As per the eligibility criteria for Air Force, to be eligible you should have either bachelor's degree in engineering or Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with physics and mathematics in your 10+2 level .
So, even if you don't have engineering degree, you are still eligible for CDS Airforce with Physics and maths in 10 + 2.

I'm assuming you will 20 years old when you will be eligible for the examination, according to the information provided by you ,the standard wieght for your hieght is 46 KGs, and the acceptance is plus or minus 10% of the standard wieght, so please try to exercise and be fit before the appearance in the examination.
