so depending upon the course you can apply for it until you are 25 years old, which will be in the year 2026.

To be eligible for Air Force Academy through CDS is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics from a recognised board and must have passed bachelor's degree or 4 year B.E/B.Tech from a recognised board. According to the eligibility you fulfill the education qualification requirements so you are eligible to appear for CDS to join in Air Force Academy.
According to the age limit for CDS the candidate must have age between the age group of 19 to 25 years. As your age will be between 19-25 in the year 2022 you will be eligible to give CDS exam as long as you have a bachelor's Degree from a recognised University or equivalent institute for Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, OTA and Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor degree in engineering for Air Force Academy. Without maths and physics in 10+2 level you won't be eligible for Air force.

The frequency of the CDS exam is twice a year and usually the notifications for the same are released during the month of October and August. Only unmarried candidates are eligible. As far as the age limit is concerned for : Indian Military Academy (IMA) Candidate must have born between 2nd January 1998 to 1st January 2003 are eligible. Indian Naval Academy (INA): Candidate must have born between 2nd January 1998 to 1st January 2003 are eligible. Air Force Academy (AFA): The candidate’s age must be 20 to 24 years, i.e. 1 January 2022 at a decisive date.Therefore the applicant is eligible if born between 2 January 1998 and 1 January 2002. For Officers’ Training Academy (SSC Course for Men): Candidate must have born between 2nd January 1997 to 1st January 2003 will be eligible to apply. So yes you are eligible to take CDS 2 2022. OTA stands for Officers Training Academy. OTA is where ladies and gentlemen both are trained into officers but in IMA only gentlemen can be inducted for permanent commission. After the completion of your Training in OTA you will be inducted into the armed forces as a lieutenant for maximum 15 yrs of service as Short service commission (SSC). Job nature is same for both the officer permanent commission or SSC. yes the officer from OTA also posted in the front area or battle field.

Each year, in February and August, the test is conducted to select Class-I Officers for Flying and Ground Duties (Technical and Non-Technical). Candidates can apply for the AFCAT whether they are male or female.
Through the AFCAT exam candidates are recruited in the Indian Air Force for the following branches-

UPSC CDS examination is conducted by UPSC twice a year to recruit young officers in indian armed forces Army,Navy & Air force.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION FOR UPSC CDS
(i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy :—12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :—12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

As per the CDS latest eligibility criteria applicant must be between 19 to 24 years to be eligible for CDS.
As you are born on 18 August 2000 and you will be of 23 years in 2023 so you will be eligible for CDS ranging from Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, Officers' Training Academy (Men).

First of all CDS is conducted for various defence academies such as Indian Military Academy with age limit of 19-24 years and eligibility criteria is passed bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university, Officer's Training Academy(Male/Female with Non-Technical Branch) with age limit of 19-25 years and eligibility criteria is passed bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university, Indian Naval Academy with age limit of 19-24 years and eligibility criteria is bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized university , Air Force Academy with age limit of 20-24 years and eligibility criteria is bachelor's degree from a recognized university with maths and physics at 10+2 level or bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized university.
Candidates in final year too are eligible for aforementioned courses, but there should not be any backlogs at the time they're applying, if we go through this year notification which came out on 28th October, 2020 following were the prescribed time frame for submitting of documents;
