If you are applying in CDs exam for ota you need work hard on English and General knowledge

For IMA, AFA and INA elementary mathematics also in syllabus.

You can prepare for the exam in short time but you need work very hard to get selected in ssb

As now you are in 2nd year , you can start preparing for the general knowledge very thoroughly because that portion is very vast. English part is also tough so have to make a routine to and give atleast 2 hours everyday for either of the subjects. The very important part is the sample papers after you are done with your book preparations when there is 1-2 months left for your  exam start doing sample papers and previous year question paper. This will help alot . And the most important thing is you need to start making changes in you personality to built that OFFICER QUALITY to get selected in ssb.

as per official notification of CDS candidate should not be born before 2nd January 1996 to appear for CDS 2021. You lr date of birth is 20/10/1996 which is after 2nfd jan 1996. So yes you are eligible to appear for CDS 2021 and apply for it. However CDS 2022 you will not be eligible.

The age limit for Indian Military Academy and Indian Naval Academy is between 19 to 24 years and you need Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University or equivalent institute to be eligible so after you graduation and you can give only once. For Air Force Academy the age limit is 20 to 24 years and the education qualification required is Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor degree in engineering even for this course you will have only one chance to give the exam and for Officers' Training Academy  the age limit is between 19 to 25 years and the education qualification required is Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University or equivalent institute so you can give exam for this course twice.

As from commerce background you won't be eligible for navy and air force but you are eligible for Indian army.

You can join Indian army through CDS.

You are eligible for IMA which offers permanent commission and OTA which offers short service commission.

Qualifications:

IMA- 1.Any degree from a recognised university

2.Age:19–24(unmarried citizens )

OTA- 1. A degree from a recognised university

2.Age- 19–25(married or unmarried)

Question paper:

IMA-

• English-100 marks
• General knowledge-100 marks
• Elementary maths-100 marks

OTA-

• English-100 marks
• General knowledge-100 marks

Boys have 2 choices IMA and OTA and girls are sent to only OTA for training.

The LASIK Surgery should be carried out before the age of 20 . The surgery should be done before 6 months or 1 year of your medical examination.

Plan yourself well enough. Here are some of the tips for various subjects :

FOR GENERAL STUDIES PAPER : refer Lakmikant book for polity and read it twice or thrice and solve as many paper as possible to get a good hold on this part.

MODERN HISTORY PART:refer Spectrum only it is enough for this part make multiple revision

ECONOMIC PART:Go through mrunal video and CA of economic portion

GEOGRAPHY PART : understand mapping of india and their neighbours areas, wildlife ,national parks etc .go for previous years paper and see the pattern .

CURRENT AFFAIRS:  watch lok sabha and rajya sabha tv ,read the hindu ,read daily current affairs of the that day on google as many websites are available .

ForEnglish part you can go for the basic one and solve sample and previous years paper to get the idea about it.

At last its all about solving paper. So go for mock tests, preliums.. slightely increase your daily study  hours.

CDS exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission.By clearing this exam you can go into Indian Army,Air Force or Navy.This exam has eligibility criteria specific for Indan Army,Air force or Navy.If you are in final year of engineering you can apply for this exam.The application form had already released on 28 Oct  and the last date is 17 Nov.You can read below

The age limit for OTA is 19-25 years while for IMA, it is 19-24. So, you are certainly eligible for OTA but not for IMA. Since you are 24 years old now.
