what is the minimum percentage required in Engineering to apply for CDS exam?

pdwords Student Expert 24th Sep, 2019

Hello,

There isn't any set aggregate required for CDS examination. One just needs to have BTech Degree from a recognized University. For Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy, Degree in Engineering is required or having maths at 10+2 is compulsory. For other posts such as OTA and IMA, only degree from a recognized university is needed.

i am persuing Bachelor of physical education and sports. In 12 my stream was Arts i got 62 %. tell me can sit in CDS, AFCAT.

pdwords Student Expert 22nd Sep, 2019

Hello,

You're eligible for Ground Duty(Non-Technical) Branch if you have passed graduation with 60%, all other post in AFSAT specifically asks for 60% in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level, which I don't think you qualify since you mention that you have completed your 12th Standard in Arts Stream.

Now, coming to CDS, you're eligible for Indian Military Academy with age limit being 19 to 23 and Officer Training Academy with age limit being 19 to 24, other posts ask for either PCM at 10+2 level or graduate in Engineering.

As per the analysis of CDS last years cut off candidates have to score minimum of 20 percent in each subject in written exam to be eligible for CDS 2019. CDS Cut off 2019 for written test for IMA, INA and IFA is calculated out of the total score of 300. The cut offscore for OTA (Men & Women) is calculated out of 200. Yo can go through the attached link for more information :-

Cds exam me current affair kitne purani aate hai

pdwords Student Expert 27th Jul, 2019
You can prepare for last six months current affairs, you can refer to websites providing these notes on daily basis, or better if you read newspaper like The Hindu, The Indian Express on a daily basis, if you maintain this routine regularly, it'll be good from the point of view of exam preparation.

You can refer to magazines as well, like Pradiyogita Darpan, it provides a lot of information catering to different aspects.

There are also number of youtube channels, providing your daily doses of current affairs.

The best I can say is getting the information from newspaper, since what happens is that websites or magazines compile a lot of information, there are also chances of missing out on something.

Reading newspaper helps you maintaining regularity knowing all the happenings which covers all aspects of news like economic, political, science and technology etc.

shruti jha Student Expert 26th Jul, 2019

Hi Srijana,

To get into Officer's Tranning Academy  (ota) a candidate needs to appear in cds entrance exam. This exam consists of writters(english, maths&gk) as well as ssb interview rounds.

Now, as you are claiming that you had overcome the pleural effusion completely then you are eligible to appear for this post and exam.

But make sure to clear ssb/physical test and also submit a fit - certificate.

Good luck.
