i have no idea about syllabus of mba entrance exam right now..can i prepare for mba entrance exam other than CAT like SAT in 2 month??

I am assuming you are from general category. Based on your overall academic profile, you will need to score 100 percentile to get a call for the next round.

There are plethora of books available for CAT preparation. For Quants and Data Interpretation you should refer to Nishit Sinha book.You can akso take Up TIME coaching material. For Verbal ability and Logical Reasoning, Book by Arun sharma Mcgraw hill Publication is considered best. Word oower made easy is wonderful

You can apply for CAT only if you are in the final year. CAT form has an option where you can enter if you are a final year student.

Not unless you belong to SC/ST/PWD categories, where the average percentage requirement for Bachelor's degree is 45%. For general and NC-OBC candidates minimum percentage is 50. You may read more about the eligibility criteria of CAT in the link below:

I see the concern you have there. But it is possible to get a call from IIMs with those percentages. But you will have to get a high percentile. Every IIM has a different way of shortlisting and selecting people. You can have a look at these criteria on their

Yea It's an added advantage. You have extra points fpr that. IIM's do that to increase batch diversity. Freshers are also equally preferred as the people with work ex. If at all, generally a work ex of 1-2 years is good to pursue an mba.

CAT Exam Pattern

TheCAT exam pattern comprises of 100 question from different sections. It is a computer based test which contains multiple choice questions (MCQ). Some of the question will be subjective types. 100 questions will be asked in the examination. The duration of examination will be 3 hours.
