I got back in two subjects in my b.com 2nd year exams. would I be allowed to appear for cat exam this year ?

Hi

According to the eligibility criteria of CAT, you should have a minimum 3 year bachelor's degree with minimum 50% for general category. Since you are still in your 2nd year, therefore you are not eligible for CAT this year.

The cutoff is not much high. If you get a percentile above 60-65% in CAT/CMAT then you are eligible for admission in this college for MBA studies.

I don't want to hurt you but chances are very very low because every college has weightage for academic percentages. With this low percentage you won't be able to cross their minimum criteria to be eligible for selection even when you are able to score a very high percentile. Getting

Don't worry about weightage of work exexperience, in every IIM's batch there are 30-40% freshers. Try to score exceptionally well and it can negate you being a fresher.

Maths is not the concern at major level. You can crack CAT even if you start now but it depends upon your passion to clear the exam.
