What should I do for the preparation of CLAT???What things needed for it???

Vipul Chaudhary 9th Jul, 2019

Hi Pratibha!

Greetings!

Incase you plan to go for professional training then join a good coaching institute.

And if you want to study at home then the plan is below:

In general it takes 6–7 months for preparation.

Few steps to follow seriously:

  1. Be sure of pursuing LAW because becoming a lawyer is cracking LLB exams and getting into reputed NLU’s and other other reputed law schools. Also there is 5–6 years of dedicated study you have to devote on. After clearing this 5 year education and to practice law, again you will have to give another exam. So this process goes on like this.
  2. Know the syllabus. Know the paper pattern. Know the sections. Know about the exams to give. Know the prospects of it in future.
  3. Join an institute if you wish to. If you don’t then make a study plan.
  4. So basically make 2, one is study plan and other is routine plan of your daily activities. If one- Make study plan.
  5. Even if you join an institute, still make a study plan and follow it.
  6. Professional training is required till the time you are sure about your self preparation.
  7. Collect appropriate books.

Material to refer:

  1. Previous year question papers
  2. Norman Lewis- Word Power Made easy
  3. Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning- By RS Agarwal
  4. Universal guide to LLB Exam
  5. Pearson GK Module
  6. Monthly magazines on GK, Current Affair, Books and Novel
  7. IMS/LST Legal Reasoning material

For more queries comment in the comment box and please upvote if this was helpful to you.

All the best!

is it better to drop a year for CLAT coaching.and do they people take percentage as in count or not.I got 77% in 12

Parvesh Bansal 9th Jul, 2019

Hi Janbhadur,

Yes,  it is a good decision to drop an year and prepare for CLAT exam and especially for the top 5 National Law Universities. Coaching will give you the right kind of guidance and material to study from but please do not depend on the faculty for everything and make sure you give as many mocks as possible. Do far as class 12th % is concerned it is not counted and is only considered for checking eligibility which is 50% I think.

i got 18000 rank in clat in which college of IP can i get into?

yash 7th Jul, 2019

Which law college can I get into with a rank of 18,000 in the CLAT.?

Hey.

Unfortunately, you won’t get any NLU under this rank, but don’t feel demotivated, there are many more options for you.

I keep saying this every year, ‘There is life beyond NLUs’.

There are many good colleges in our country other than NLUs, you can apply there.

For information/updates related to CLAT or any law entrance examination, stay tuned to other options.

Hiiii -Is dbranlu is good for ba LLB ? - I got 59.25 in clat ...could I eligible for dbranlu?

mahimadogra_6929406 Student Expert 7th Jul, 2019
Hey.
Last year in 2018 the last rank from the general category to get admission in any of the NLUs was a rank of 1600 through all the allotment lists. Lower NLUs have vacancies too sometimes, in that the cut off at a maximum would go till 3000. NLU sonepat is admitting it's first batch this year through CLAT scores. So as your score is around 59.25 you do not seem to have any chances for admission in NLU Sonepat as the cut off won't go this low.
You can try for private colleges accepting CLAT scores instead. You don't have any chances for NLU Sonepat being in the General category.
And this college will be admitting it's first batch. And there have been many NLUs which opened recently and all these new lower tier NLUs are average. The faculty is fine, placements are non existent. The good rated private colleges are a better option than these as the fee difference will also not be much.
Best of luck

My rank in clat is 9000 can i get admission in sonepat

AMOL VISHWAKARMA 5th Jul, 2019

Hey Amit,

With a rank of 9000 there is no chance to for  admission in NLU Sonepat, if you belong to the general category. The cut off of NLU Sonepat won't go as low as 9000 in any case.
With a CLAT rank in this range, you should try for private colleges.

List of some private colleges can be seen with the help of the link given below,

Hope this helps,

Can I apply for NRI sponsorship in CLAT and CET if I did not tick it in the application form?

Parvesh Bansal 6th Jul, 2019

Hi Aria,

Whatever you have stated in your application form while filling the CLAT application form will be considered as final and nothing can be changed after the form has been successfully submitted the only option is to to fill the form again but now since the results are out nothing can be done about the category. One can request the concerned college department to consider the situation and allot seat with the NRI Sponsorship category
