how much jee main percentile to get into NIT Trichy computer science and engineering department this year

S. Saha Student Expert 29th Jul, 2020
National Institute of Technology, Trichy is one of the best colleges among NITs. So undoubtedly the cutoffs will be quite high. There are certain criteria to get into a college- your category, if you are applying through Home state quota or All India quota. If you belong to general category, then cutoffs would be high. Now you haven't mentioned your category, so considering you as general candidate, you have to secure a rank within 5000 i.e. almost 99.6 percentile score if this is your home state quota and a rank within 1300 which means 99.9 percentile if you are applying through All India quota. Now this is according to last year's data and this year the cutoff might change. Try to score the more you can so that the admission can be hassle free. You can check the last year's cutoff here http://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-trichy

how much 12 cut off and jee main percentile accepted to join VIT computer science and engineering department

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 28th Jul, 2020
Hello,

VIT hasn't mentioned any specific requirement of marks and jee mains percentile for admission. They have only said that the admission will be based on 12th board percentage and candidates having JEE mains score will be given weightage.
The merit list will be prepared based on number of applicants and range of marks and considering various other things. But for CSE, in my opinion one must have more than 85% minimum.

I hope this helps.

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 26th Jul, 2020

Hey Dhinesh

I undderstand your concern but you have not mention the college for which you have applied for couselling, nor the entrance exam, nor the state(domicile as well as of your college) or your category. Basically you have given me nothing to help you with. However, you can use this link to check out if you will get admission in your desired college or not https://www.careers360.com/college-predictor . All the best.

which are all the basic things have to learn before joining btech or be computer science and engineering department in college

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 26th Jul, 2020

Hey!

The minimum eligibility is to qualify 10+2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics as core subjects. There is no such compulsion to learn any  course or programming language. In general first year subjects include one of the programming language and during the other years of computer science engineering students are taught to get the required skills. However, it is good to have some knowledge any basic programming language or some basic software skills such as excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.

Thank you

If I study b.tech/be computer science and engineering in any non valuable college and tried and got seat in NIT btech or be computer science and engineering then how is the job opportunity ?

Divyansh Verma 26th Jul, 2020

Hi dear aspirant, as you have keen interest in doing B.Tech in computer science and engineering which is being reflected from your question . So i would like to say that yes there will be differnce between the jobs which you'll get after completing your degree from a NIT and from a normal college . But the main thing is what you learn and what you gain in the 4 years of college life will result more in deciding your selection in a nice MNC . So i would like to say if you not get a seat in NIt don't worry there are various colleges of same level in which you can apply and can come out with flying colours doing wonders . So the basic thing is just focus on your skill only that matter. Hope it will help you.

which is the best engineering college for direct admission on the basis of 12thbihar board of percentage 65 in btech computer science and engineering in India under 4 lakh as total fees please suggest me quickly

Prashant D. Gaikwad 25th Jul, 2020

Hey Sandip for that you have to give any cet examination of that state .

for example MH-CET , this entrance exam is for taking admmision in maharashtra and if you do not give entrance then you have to pay donation fees that will costs more than 4 lakhs in total fees. So in my point of view you must fill up the forms of cets. And yes in maharashtra there are good engineering colleges like COEP(PUNE), PICT(PUNE ), SCOE(PUNE), VIT(PUNE) , VJTI(PUNE), GCOE(KARAD) this are some good engineering colleges for computer science engineering. So I hope this helps to you and Thank you !!!

Which one has more scope (Computer Science and Engineering ) or (Computer Science with Some specialization such as Big Data, Iot, AI, Cloud Computing)? What is the difference between their curriculum at SRM University?

Prashant D. Gaikwad 25th Jul, 2020

There is a more scope on computer science with some spealization such as data science, big data,AI, cloud computing, and machine learning. Because in IT industry software engineers are many posts like developer, QA enguneer, back end, front end engineer and full stack developer this are the post for only those who know any programming language in depth. And on the other hand there are some post like data scientist, data analyst, machine learning engineer, big data enginner this are high paying jobs and for this you have to be skilled in specialization like big data, data science, AI, etc.

And in SRM university they are giving specialization in data science, iot, etc so this is good initiative by SRM university. So those are intersted in data science, big data they can go for spealization degree.I hope this heps to you and thank you !!!
