Respected Sir / Mam, I have a query that, I completed my diploma (computer science and engineering) after 10th standard. Am I eligible to submit Jee Main and Advance forms and if yes, can I get IITs, NITs or IIITs? Hope for your answer. Thank you.

Sharon Rose Student Expert 9th Feb, 2020
Hello,
Yes, diploma holders are also eligible to appear in JEE main provided that candidate must pass 3 year diploma from AICTE or SBTE recognised board. You may get admission in NITs/GFTIs if you qualify JEE main and if you qualify JEE advanced you may get admission in IITs.Apart from qualifying entrance exam you need to have minimum aggregate to get admission in NITs/IITs/GFTIs.And the minimum aggregate is 75%(for General category candidates) and 65% (SC/ST category candidates) in 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognised board or university.

Should I choose Symbiosis institute of technology? What will be expected cutoff for Computer Science and engineering branch through Jee main?(percentile)

Nikhitha Sai 7th Feb, 2020

Hello aspirant, firstly, symbiosis institute of technology is really good and you can go for it. Secondly expected cut off for computer science branch,  they haven't released it yet. But  I can give you the cut off last year. For you to get computer science branch, you need to score 125+ . This year probably it would have went till 135. So you need to get a percentile of 98+.

All the best

what is the cutoff in NIT Goa to get into computer science and engineering for 2020-21

Yastika Kumar 4th Feb, 2020

Hi Shweta,

The cutoff for all the NITs and IITs for the year 2020 will only be available after April session exam. But from previous year cutoff you can infer it.

Since you have not mentioned any category so I am assuming it to be general. For Computer Science and Engineering the opening cutoff was 12921 and closing cutoff was 34667.

what is the fee structure for computer science and engineering in NIT for an obc student for the year 2020-21

Harshit sethi 4th Feb, 2020

It differs from one NIT to another . But it is same as for General Candidates. The fees for NIT is nearly 70000 per semester. But it may vary .

There is also full fee reimbursement for candidates who have income less than 1 lakh per annum. And 2/3 fee reimbursement for candidates have income between 1-5 lakhs per annum
