I hope you are doing well, Yeah pursuing BTech from Chandigarh University is worth it. The college infrastructure is good. You will be updated with technology in CU. You will also get regular workshops with the tech companies so that it could help you gain some confidence with knowledge. Placements are also quite good over there. At the end the college will provide you everything but you will have to do your work on your part.

Firstly I would like to tell you that , your admission in any college depends on the rank you have got in JEE mains but not on the basis of percentile you have got. Percentile tells you if you are eligible for JEE Advance exam or not .

Now talking about MIT Pune.  Looking at past record I believe that at 80 percentile there chances that you will get CSE.  But you will surely get IT or ECE in MIT Pune at this percentile.

Yeah! Government Polytechnic Solapur is a moderate college for Diploma courses under  Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai. The college have good infrastructure and faculty members. The courses of CSE and IT in Diploma is quite well balanced in  Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai. Now the scenario of placements aren't available on the official website for any of the courses. Although from a job point of view to have a good career in CSE/IT, after Diploma it would be better for you to join BTech courses and after that you can expect really good positions. If you want to do job after Diploma then also you can do but you will not get senior positions in that case.

This is very difficult to predict which college you will get because cut off  keeps changing every year depending upon a number of factors like
