kcet rank 83000 which college may I get for Cs branch

kumardurgesh1802 30th Oct, 2024

Hello Vikas,

With a KCET rank of 83,000, getting a Computer Science (CS) seat in top-tier colleges may be challenging. However, you might still have a chance at CS seats in some private or lower-tier colleges in Karnataka. Here are some colleges where students with similar ranks have gotten admission in previous years:

  1. SJB Institute of Technology , Bengaluru
  2. Global Academy of Technology , Bengaluru
  3. K.S. School of Engineering and Management , Bengaluru
  4. Acharya Institute of Technology , Bengaluru
  5. Bangalore Technological Institute , Bengaluru
  6. SJBIT , Bengaluru
  7. East West Institute of Technology , Bengaluru
  8. T John Institute of Technology , Bengaluru

Cutoffs vary each year, so it’s recommended to attend the counseling rounds to explore all available options. Additionally, you can look at colleges in smaller cities or those with higher intake capacity in CS, which may have slightly relaxed cutoffs.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

42195 is my KCET ranking can I get cs branch If I get which collage in Karnataka?

kumardurgesh1802 16th Sep, 2024

Hello student,

With a 42,195 rank in KCET , you may have a reasonable chance of securing a seat in the Computer Science (CSE) branch at several engineering colleges in Karnataka. Here are some potential colleges where you might get CSE:

Possible Colleges:

  1. Private Engineering Colleges:

    • Acharya Institute of Technology, Bangalore
    • Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bangalore
    • RNS Institute of Technology, Bangalore
    • Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore
    • Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering, Bangalore

  2. Government-Aided Colleges:

    • BMS Institute of Technology, Bangalore (less likely but possible depending on specific branch availability in later rounds)

  3. Other Private Options:

    • PES College of Engineering, Mandya
    • JSS Academy of Technical Education, Bangalore

      Factors to Consider:

  4. Branch Availability:

    • CSE is a popular branch, and getting it depends on the college’s cutoff for that year. Private colleges with a history of admitting students at similar ranks should be considered.

  5. Counseling Rounds:

    • Participate in all counseling rounds, as cutoffs can change, and you might get a seat in CSE in subsequent rounds.

  6. Management Quota:

    • If you are open to higher fees, consider the management quota options in private colleges for CSE.

With a rank of 42,195, you have a good chance of getting Computer Science in several private engineering colleges. Government-aided colleges and some lesser-known government institutions might also be an option. Ensure to participate in all rounds of counseling to increase your chances.

How is the infrastructure, faculty and placement for btech CS or btech CS AI in Lucknow university new campus. Does it provide its own degree or that of AKTU?

Saurabh Yadav 7th Apr, 2025

Hii,

the new campus of Lucknow University is still being developed. It has functional classrooms, computer labs with internet, and basic facilities. Since the B.Tech programs started recently, especially CS and CS-AI, placement records are limited. The university has a central placement cell that invites companies, but for now, students need to be proactive in applying for internships and jobs themselves.

The university has qualified teachers, and the Computer Science department is one of the largest there. The faculty covers modern subjects like AI, Data Science, IoT, and Machine Learning. As for the degree, Lucknow University provides its own degree—it is not affiliated with AKTU for these engineering programs.

I have 65 percentile in jee mains general category. So I can get the admission in BTKIT for cs course.

kumardurgesh1802 30th Oct, 2024

Hello Yash,

With a 65 percentile in JEE Mains in the general category, your chances of getting admission to BTKIT (Bheemtaal Institute of Technology, Kashi) for a Computer Science (CS) course may depend on several factors, including the college's cutoffs, the number of applicants, and the overall competition in the current admission cycle.

General Considerations:

  1. Previous Year Cutoffs : Look at the previous year’s cutoff for BTKIT for the CS branch. If your percentile is close to or above the cutoff from the previous year, you may have a chance.

  2. State Quotas : Some colleges may have a reservation policy that could benefit you. If you fall under a particular category or region, it might improve your chances.

  3. Other Admission Criteria : BTKIT may also consider other factors such as board exam scores or internal entrance tests.

    Recommendations:

  • Check the Official Website : Visit the official website of BTKIT to get the latest information about admission criteria, cutoffs, and available seats.

  • Reach Out to Admissions : Contact the admissions office directly to inquire about the likelihood of admission based on your current percentile.

  • Explore Other Colleges : If you’re open to other options, consider applying to other colleges with potentially lower cutoffs.

    Conclusion:

While a 65 percentile may present some challenges for admission to BTKIT for CS, it’s essential to explore all available options and stay informed about the specific admission processes and criteria.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Is it compulsory to take cs in engineering after taking cs in 12th hsc? Does it same go with electrical maintenance and electronics?

kumardurgesh1802 30th Oct, 2024

Hello there,

No, it is not compulsory to take Computer Science (CS) in engineering if you have taken it in 12th HSC. While many students choose to pursue engineering degrees in the same field they studied in school, such as Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), it is not a strict requirement.

Key Points:

  1. Field Choice : You can pursue various branches of engineering regardless of your 12th-grade subjects. For example:

    • If you studied CS, you can choose from branches like Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Information Technology .

    • If you studied Electrical Maintenance and Electronics, you might consider Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or Instrumentation Engineering .

  2. Eligibility : Engineering colleges generally have eligibility criteria based on subjects taken in 12th grade (such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics), but they often allow students from diverse backgrounds as long as they meet the minimum requirements.

  3. Interest and Career Goals : Choose your engineering discipline based on your interests, career goals, and job market demand rather than just the subjects you studied in high school.

  4. Flexibility in Specialization : Engineering programs often allow students to specialize or take electives in areas related to their interests, even if they come from a different academic background.

    Conclusion:

Feel free to explore various engineering branches that interest you, even if they differ from your 12th-grade subjects. Focus on what aligns with your career aspirations and personal interests. If you need more specific guidance on engineering fields, let me know!
