Computer Science Engineering
Hello Vikas,
With a KCET rank of 83,000, getting a Computer Science (CS) seat in top-tier colleges may be challenging. However, you might still have a chance at CS seats in some private or lower-tier colleges in Karnataka. Here are some colleges where students with similar ranks have gotten admission in previous years:
Cutoffs vary each year, so it’s recommended to attend the counseling rounds to explore all available options. Additionally, you can look at colleges in smaller cities or those with higher intake capacity in CS, which may have slightly relaxed cutoffs.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Hii,
the new campus of Lucknow University is still being developed. It has functional classrooms, computer labs with internet, and basic facilities. Since the B.Tech programs started recently, especially CS and CS-AI, placement records are limited. The university has a central placement cell that invites companies, but for now, students need to be proactive in applying for internships and jobs themselves.
The university has qualified teachers, and the Computer Science department is one of the largest there. The faculty covers modern subjects like AI, Data Science, IoT, and Machine Learning. As for the degree, Lucknow University provides its own degree—it is not affiliated with AKTU for these engineering programs.
Hello Yash,
With a 65 percentile in JEE Mains in the general category, your chances of getting admission to BTKIT (Bheemtaal Institute of Technology, Kashi) for a Computer Science (CS) course may depend on several factors, including the college's cutoffs, the number of applicants, and the overall competition in the current admission cycle. General Considerations:
Previous Year Cutoffs : Look at the previous year’s cutoff for BTKIT for the CS branch. If your percentile is close to or above the cutoff from the previous year, you may have a chance.
State Quotas : Some colleges may have a reservation policy that could benefit you. If you fall under a particular category or region, it might improve your chances.
Other Admission Criteria : BTKIT may also consider other factors such as board exam scores or internal entrance tests. Recommendations:
While a 65 percentile may present some challenges for admission to BTKIT for CS, it’s essential to explore all available options and stay informed about the specific admission processes and criteria.
Hi
hope you doing well
Chances depend on the specific year’s cutoffs, seat availability, and the counseling rounds. With 88 percentile in JEE Mains 2024, getting CSE at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida may be competitive, as CSE is a highly sought-after branch.
You may have better chances in the later counseling rounds or if you're open to other related branches like IT or ECE

Hello there,
No, it is not compulsory to take Computer Science (CS) in engineering if you have taken it in 12th HSC. While many students choose to pursue engineering degrees in the same field they studied in school, such as Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), it is not a strict requirement. Key Points:
Field Choice : You can pursue various branches of engineering regardless of your 12th-grade subjects. For example:
Eligibility : Engineering colleges generally have eligibility criteria based on subjects taken in 12th grade (such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics), but they often allow students from diverse backgrounds as long as they meet the minimum requirements.
Interest and Career Goals : Choose your engineering discipline based on your interests, career goals, and job market demand rather than just the subjects you studied in high school.
Flexibility in Specialization : Engineering programs often allow students to specialize or take electives in areas related to their interests, even if they come from a different academic background. Conclusion:
Feel free to explore various engineering branches that interest you, even if they differ from your 12th-grade subjects. Focus on what aligns with your career aspirations and personal interests. If you need more specific guidance on engineering fields, let me know!
Hy,
Yes, you can definitely pursue a B.Sc. in mathematics with computer science as a subject. Many universities offer programs that combine these two areas, providing a strong foundation in both fields.
Check Program Options: Start by researching universities and colleges that offer a B.Sc. program with a focus on both mathematics and computer science. Look for programs that include core mathematics courses like calculus and algebra, as well as computer science subjects such as programming and data structures.
Understand the Curriculum: Typically, the curriculum will include fundamental mathematics courses and practical computer science classes. You’ll study mathematical theory, problem-solving techniques, and programming languages and software development skills.
Know the Admission Requirements: To enroll in such a program, you usually need a high school diploma with a strong background in mathematics.
Application Process: Find out the application process for the programs you are interested in. This usually involves submitting your academic transcripts and other required documents by the application deadline.
Explore Career Opportunities: A degree in Mathematics with Computer Science can lead to careers in data analysis, software development, and many other fields. It also provides a good foundation for further studies in areas like data science and artificial intelligence.
A B.Sc. in Mathematics with Computer Science is a great choice if you want to combine mathematical theory with practical computing skills. By researching programs, understanding the curriculum, and meeting admission requirements, you can successfully pursue this degree and open up various career opportunities.
