Which college to choose VSSUT Burla or OUTR(CET) Bhubaneswar..I m not getting CS/IT.So tell me only for core branches like which is best. And which would give me better future scope as I have a thought to prepare for GATE in the future. Plz someone help

Prachi Kumari 26th Jul, 2025

Hello,

For core branches (like Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, etc.), VSSUT Burla is a better choice than OUTR (CET) Bhubaneswar.

Here’s why:

  • Strong core departments : VSSUT has a long history and strong reputation in core engineering.

  • Better GATE environment : Many students from VSSUT prepare for GATE, so you will get a good peer group and study environment.

  • Good faculty and alumni : Especially in core branches, VSSUT has better faculty support and alumni network in PSU and higher studies.

So, if your focus is on core branches and GATE preparation, VSSUT Burla is the better option.

Hope it helps !

My kcet rank is 82900 in the year 2025 cs college government seat available or not in Bengaluru city

Sonakshi Kumari 22nd Jun, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

With a KCET rank of 82,900, securing a Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) seat in government colleges in Bengaluru is highly unlikely. For CSE under the General category, closing ranks at UVCE, RVCE, BMSCE, MSRIT, etc., are typically between 3,000 and 9,000.However, you can consider government aided colleges or some private colleges. And also you can explore some other branches with this rank like mechanical, civil or engineering.

You should participate in all counselling rounds via KEA.

Consider private colleges for branch like CSE and core branches like civil, mechanical or electrical in government or government-aided colleges.

All the best for your counselling process.

56% me cs me admission milegi Kay

SEJAL JAIN 20th Jun, 2025

Hello

No admission in CSE branch is not possible with 56 percentage.

In government insititutes and reputed private college your score should be above 75 percent.

So it may be possible but i am not sure you will get seat in CSE with 56 percentage.

which college can a 59116 rank student get in banglore for cs

Ayush Madanpotra 19th Jun, 2025

With a KCET rank of 59,116 in the general quota for Computer Science Engineering in Bangalore, here are colleges where you have a strong chance of getting admission:

You may get CSE at New Horizon College of Engineering where the closing rank was around 57,200 last year.

CMR Institute of Technology also had a closing rank close to 57,400, making it a good fit.

BMS Institute of Technology & Management typically closes around 53,300, so you’re just outside but may get in later rounds or through waitlists.

Also, colleges like KLE Technological University and Sir MVIT had CSE cutoffs near 52,800 and 52,800–53,000 respectively for general quota in Round 2.

If Cairo rank in Bangalore, Bangalore College of Engineering and Technology (BCET) had general CSE closing rank around 64,100, so you’re likely to secure a seat there.

Reddit discussions confirm these estimates and recommend these colleges for CSE around your rank range.

So, with your rank, aim for New Horizon, CMRIT, or BCET for CSE admission in Bangalore. You can also try for BMSIT or KLE through later rounds or waiting lists if you're flexible.

I have done my 12th and got 43 percentile in mht cet I want to take addmission in btech or be in field like cs ,it ,ai and ml

OISHEE BANERJEE 19th Jun, 2025

Hi, if you’ve completed your 12th and scored 43 percentile in MHT CET 2025, it might feel a bit difficult to get into top government engineering colleges for branches like Computer Science, IT, or Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. These branches are highly competitive, and their cutoffs are usually much higher, especially in popular government or autonomous colleges.

However, there are still opportunities available. Many private engineering colleges and unaided institutes in Maharashtra accept students with lower percentiles, especially in the later rounds of counselling like CAP Round 3 or the institutional-level rounds. These rounds often have vacant seats, and the cutoff tends to go down, which increases your chances of getting a seat in CS or related branches.

You can also consider applying to colleges in cities like Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, or the outskirts of Mumbai, where private colleges offer BTech or BE programs in CS, IT, AI, and related fields. Some colleges may even offer management quota or direct admission after the CAP rounds are over, although the fee structure might be different.

Make sure to stay active during the counselling process and apply to multiple colleges. Explore all the options available to you and don’t miss any deadlines. Even if you don’t get CS directly, branches like Information Technology or Data Science are also great choices and often cover similar topics.

With the right strategy and persistence, you can still get into a good college and start your journey in the tech field.

All the best!

Can i get cs or ai/ml or any such branch in rait college with 51% ile in mhtcet? im sc and from maharashtra.

OISHEE BANERJEE 19th Jun, 2025

With 51 percentile in MHT CET 2025, belonging to the SC category and being a Maharashtra domicile candidate, your chances of getting a branch like Computer Science or AI and Machine Learning at RAIT (Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology) are low in the early rounds of counselling. RAIT is one of the better-known colleges in Navi Mumbai and branches like CS, IT, and AI/ML are in high demand. Even for SC category students, the cutoffs for these branches tend to be higher, usually above the 65 to 75 percentile range depending on the year and seat availability.

That said, your chances are not entirely gone. Seats do open up in the later rounds such as CAP Round 3 and especially during the institutional-level round where colleges admit students for leftover seats. Sometimes candidates with higher percentiles withdraw after getting admission elsewhere, which causes shifts in the cutoff ranks.

It’s important that you participate in all rounds of counselling and keep your preferences updated. You can also consider filling in slightly less competitive branches like electronics or mechanical to keep a backup, and if you perform well in your first year, you might have a chance to apply for an internal branch change later. While getting CS or AI/ML in RAIT with 51 percentile is not easy, staying active in the counselling process till the end keeps the door open.
