sir igot 74.62 percentile in MHT CET which college is best for me in core and cs/it branch in nagpur or Pune side with great placement
Hello Dear Student,
With an MHT CET percentile of 74.62 , admission to top colleges such as COEP, VJTI, PICT, or SPIT for CSE/IT is unlikely because their cutoffs are usually much higher.
You can, however, target several good colleges in Pune and Nagpur.
Pune region:
- Sinhgad Academy of Engineering – CSE-related specializations, IT, and some AI/Data Science seats may be possible in later rounds.
- Zeal College of Engineering and Research – Good option for CSE, IT, and AI-related branches.
- Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Technology – More realistic for core branches such as Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical.
- AISSMS College of Engineering – Core branches are more achievable than CSE at this percentile.
Nagpur region:
- Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering – CSE is difficult, but branches such as Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and some lower-cutoff specializations may be possible. Previous cutoffs for CSE and allied branches have generally been above your percentile.
- G H Raisoni College of Engineering – Better chances in IT-related specializations and core branches. CSE may still be competitive.
- Priyadarshini College of Engineering – A realistic option for several engineering branches at your percentile.
At 74.62 percentile , your best strategy is:
- Prioritize AI, Data Science, Cyber Security, and IT specializations in mid-tier colleges.
- Keep CSE as an aspirational option.
- Include Electrical, ENTC, Mechanical, and Civil as backup branches.
- Participate in all CAP rounds and institute-level rounds, where cutoffs often drop.
