ISE and CSE branches do not differ from each other that much.

ISE deals with software whereas CSE deals with software and hardware.

Placements wise, both branches are similar barring a few companies which only allow CSE students to apply.

But, I would suggest you go for CSE

You can get CSE in NIT Srinagar through Home State(HS) Quota in CSAB special round of counselling which takes place after JoSAA. The closing rank of NIT Srinagar, CSE was 52670 in 2018, round 2. So you can easily get it in CSAB.
