which one of these is better for admission through comedk dsatm - info sci cambridge i.t - cse dr ambedkar info sci acharya i.t - cse

kumardurgesh1802 10th Aug, 2024

Hello there,

When choosing between these options for a B.Tech program, consider the following factors:

  1. Reputation and Ranking : Check the college rankings and reputation for the respective branches (Information Science or Computer Science).

  2. Faculty and Infrastructure : Research the quality of faculty and infrastructure available in each college. This can significantly impact your learning experience.

  3. Placement Opportunities : Look into the placement records and the types of companies that visit the campus for each college. Strong placement support is crucial for career growth.

  4. Course Curriculum : Compare the course curriculum and any additional certifications or training offered by each college.

  5. Campus Life and Extracurriculars : Consider the overall campus environment and opportunities for extracurricular activities, which can enhance your college experience.

Based on these factors:

  • DSATM (Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology) is generally well-regarded for its engineering programs and has a good reputation for its placements.

  • Cambridge Institute of Technology is known for its focus on practical learning and industry connections, especially in IT-related fields.

  • Acharya Institute of Technology also has a solid reputation with good infrastructure and placement opportunities.

If you prioritize a strong reputation and robust placement support, DSATM and Acharya might be preferable. If you are looking for a focus on practical learning and industry connections, Cambridge could be a good choice.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

I have a Comedk rank of 16663. Can someone please tell me in which colleges I can get BTech CSE or BTech CSE with Specialization? A fellow student counsellor told me I could get into RNSIT but now I think my chances are extremely low. I have already messed up round 1 and 2, I need some guidance.

Abhishek 23rd Jul, 2024

Hi there,

Congrats on getting a seat in AMC College.

To choose an option between the two mentioned above , you can wait for the kcet results to come before taking the admissions in the AMC  college . I suggest you to do so since it will help you in getting an idea that which college you are getting at this rank in kcet.

If you can not take admission in the cse branch at this rank in kcet then certainly you can take admission in amc college.

direct admissions are possible?

Radhika Goyal 28th Oct, 2024

Hy,

Yes, direct admissions are often possible in many colleges and universities, especially for certain programs. Here’s an overview of how direct admissions typically work, along with important considerations:

What is Direct Admission?

Direct admission refers to the process of securing a seat in a college or university without going through a competitive entrance exam or lengthy selection process. This is common in various undergraduate programs, particularly in private institutions and some public colleges.

How Direct Admissions Work

  1. Eligibility Criteria:

    • Colleges usually have specific eligibility criteria for direct admissions, such as minimum percentage requirements in Class 12 or other qualifying examinations.
  2. Application Process:

    • Application Form: Students must fill out the college's application form, which can often be found online.
    • Documents Required: Along with the application form, students typically need to submit documents like mark sheets, identity proof, and photographs.
  3. Admission Fees:

    • Some colleges may charge an application fee or a higher tuition fee for direct admissions compared to those who are admitted through entrance exams.
  4. Management Quota:

    • In many private colleges, a certain percentage of seats are reserved under the management quota, which allows for direct admission. This may come with higher fees.
  5. No Entrance Exam Required:

    • In direct admissions, students are not required to take entrance exams. Their eligibility is usually determined based on their academic performance in previous qualifications.

Where Direct Admissions are Common

  • Private Colleges: Many private institutions offer direct admission, particularly in fields like Business Administration, Hotel Management, and Engineering.
  • Self-Financed Courses: Programs that require higher tuition fees often allow direct admissions.
  • Institutes with No Entrance Exam: Some colleges or universities do not conduct entrance exams for specific programs.

Important Considerations

  1. Research the College: Make sure to check the reputation and accreditation of the college before seeking direct admission.
  2. Check for Additional Costs: Understand the fee structure, as direct admissions, especially through management quota, can be more expensive.
  3. Limited Seats: Direct admissions might have a limited number of seats, so it’s essential to apply early.
  4. Consult the Admissions Office: If you're unsure about the direct admission process for a specific college, reach out to their admissions office for detailed information.

is it necessary to pay fee if i choose reject and upgrade in comedk

Abhishek 23rd Jul, 2024

Hello folk,

There is basically two types of fees associated with the counselling procedure for the comedk.

Initially at the beginning you have to pay a nominal non refundable fee to take part in the counselling.

On choosing the reject and upgrade you may have to pay a certain amount of fees if applicable according to the counselling rules.

You can check the counselling procedure and the fee and refund policy of the comedk counselling by visiting its official website and thus know about the same.

GEnerally, the fees are non refundable, so you must consider your option wisely and take the decision accordingly on whether you want to choose a seat or reject a seat.

Hope this resolves your query.

hey i have missed my choice filling in comedk round 1 , hence could not participate in it is there something i can do?

Abhishek 23rd Jul, 2024

Hi there,

If you have missed the choice filling of the 1st round of the comedk then you must immediately contact the comedk helpline and know if anything can happen in the issue from their side.

Also, if applicable be prepared to take part in the second round of the counselling and constantly keep visiting the official website for the further dates related to the counselling and all the necessary information related to it.

You should also start trying to take part in some more counselling procedure if there is any to guarantee you a admission in any one of the colleges.

This is all you can do at this moment and you should now onwards regularly keep visiting the website for any important information related to the counselling.

Hope this resolves your query.

Sir my COMEDK ranking is 9344, which college I will select? I prefer CSE, ECE and CSE allied branches in Bangalore. Please guide me.

Abhishek 13th Jul, 2024

Hi there,

Congrats on getting the 9344 rank in COMEDK.

Since your rank is in the middle range you can not get the top branches like cse or ece in the top institutions.

According to your rank, you can check the colleges like RV engineering college, BMS college in which getting cse might be difficult but you can apply for allied branches like information science. There are also some colleges like New Horizon in which you can get admission in your favourite branches like cse.

It is advised that you check the previous year cutoff and closing rank to know more about the colleges in which you can get the admission.

You can also take help of our college predictor which will help you in finding the best institutions related to your rank and the course in which you want enrollment. The link is mentioned below:
