The Scheduled Caste category cutoff for Computer Science varies for different institutions and exams , for example the cutoff rank in IIT Palakkad is 1821 while in Delhi University it can range between 70-79 percentile so you need to check the cutoff as per the specific exam or college

So you can provide me the name of the exam you have given or college you are interested in to know its cutoff for computer Science, so that i can help you with accurate details.

56% par cs me admission milegi Kay

Rupsa Banerjee 30th Jul, 2025

Dear aspirant,

Getting admission in Computer Science or CS with 56% depends on the college or university you are applying to. Top institutions may not accept this percentage, especially for B.Tech or M.Sc. CS, as they often have cutoffs above 60% or even higher. However, many private colleges, some state universities, or open universities do offer admission with 50-55% marks if they have seats available. You may not get top tier colleges, but you can still get admission in decent colleges. It will be better if you check their eligibility criteria on their official website.

Thank you.

which college can a 59116 rank student get in banglore for cs

Ayush Madanpotra 19th Jun, 2025

With a KCET rank of 59,116 in the general quota for Computer Science Engineering in Bangalore, here are colleges where you have a strong chance of getting admission:

You may get CSE at New Horizon College of Engineering where the closing rank was around 57,200 last year.

CMR Institute of Technology also had a closing rank close to 57,400, making it a good fit.

BMS Institute of Technology & Management typically closes around 53,300, so you’re just outside but may get in later rounds or through waitlists.

Also, colleges like KLE Technological University and Sir MVIT had CSE cutoffs near 52,800 and 52,800–53,000 respectively for general quota in Round 2.

If Cairo rank in Bangalore, Bangalore College of Engineering and Technology (BCET) had general CSE closing rank around 64,100, so you’re likely to secure a seat there.

Reddit discussions confirm these estimates and recommend these colleges for CSE around your rank range.

So, with your rank, aim for New Horizon, CMRIT, or BCET for CSE admission in Bangalore. You can also try for BMSIT or KLE through later rounds or waiting lists if you're flexible.

Can i get cs or ai/ml or any such branch in rait college with 51% ile in mhtcet? im sc and from maharashtra.

Pradeepa P 20th Jun, 2025

With a 51 percentile in MHT CET, as an SC candidate from Maharashtra, it is highly unlikely to get Computer Science, AI ML, or similar branches at RAIT Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology or other colleges in the Pune area.

Can i get cs or ai/ml or any such branch in rait college with 51% ile in mhtcet? im sc and from maharashtra.

OISHEE BANERJEE 19th Jun, 2025

With 51 percentile in MHT CET 2025, belonging to the SC category and being a Maharashtra domicile candidate, your chances of getting a branch like Computer Science or AI and Machine Learning at RAIT (Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology) are low in the early rounds of counselling. RAIT is one of the better-known colleges in Navi Mumbai and branches like CS, IT, and AI/ML are in high demand. Even for SC category students, the cutoffs for these branches tend to be higher, usually above the 65 to 75 percentile range depending on the year and seat availability.

That said, your chances are not entirely gone. Seats do open up in the later rounds such as CAP Round 3 and especially during the institutional-level round where colleges admit students for leftover seats. Sometimes candidates with higher percentiles withdraw after getting admission elsewhere, which causes shifts in the cutoff ranks.

It’s important that you participate in all rounds of counselling and keep your preferences updated. You can also consider filling in slightly less competitive branches like electronics or mechanical to keep a backup, and if you perform well in your first year, you might have a chance to apply for an internal branch change later. While getting CS or AI/ML in RAIT with 51 percentile is not easy, staying active in the counselling process till the end keeps the door open.

Can i get cs or ai/ml or any such branch in rait college with 51% ile in mhtcet? im sc and from maharashtra.

Anushree Thakare 5th Jul, 2025

Hello student,

These branches are very competitive and typically require higher percentiles, even for reserved categories.

It is highly unlikely to get Computer Science (CS), AI/ML, or similar branches at RAIT with a 51 percentile in MHT CET, especially as an SC candidate from Maharashtra.

Consider exploring less competitive branches like IT, Data Science, or other engineering fields at RAIT or other colleges.

If you get admission to a less competitive branch, you can explore the possibility of internal branch changes later based on your performance.

Thank you!!

With a 51 percentile in MHT-CET and belonging to the SC category from Maharashtra, it is unlikely that you’ll get Computer Science (CS) or AI/ML at RAIT (Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology).

In previous years, CS and AI-related branches at RAIT closed at much higher percentiles, even for reserved categories—usually above 80 percentile. So with 51 percentile, your chances are very low for those specific branches at that college.

However, you may get other branches like Electronics, Mechanical, or Civil in some colleges. You can also explore private or lesser-known institutes where the cutoff is lower and CS or IT seats might still be available.

CS AI ML in VIT Vellore or CSE in Manipal University Jaipur?

Aryan 23rd Jun, 2025

Hi Mukta,

Both the VIT Vellore and Manipal University Jaipur are excellent in their own branches of CS AI/ML in VIT and CSE in MUJ. However, the difference does exist if we compare further.

  • VIT Vellore carries more reputation of being a renowned institute for engineering and thus offers better placements with slightly higher package.
  • Manipal University Jaipur is much newly established as compared to VIT but also has placement exposure to MNC giants such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google etc.
  • VIT is much more cost effective when it comes fee structure with total fees of B.Tech to be around 9 lakhs where as 15 lakhs of MUJ.
  • The MUJ has best in class infrastructure as comparatively better infrastructure.

You should now decide based on your own preferences, you should also look which one is closer to your home for better reachability.

ALL THE BEST !
