Yes absolutely! you stand pretty decent chances to get a seat in CSE VIT Vellore as per the previosu years records under category 1. The last few years records says that the candidate receiving rank below 20,000 stand under category 1 and the candidates having rank less than 5000 or 6000 get CSE seat easily in VIT Vellore. Also, you have good chances to get IT in VIT Vellore.

see you will be allotted streams as per your choice given on counselling. now if you have given b.tech cse over b.tech cse with specialization of data science, based on your rank and score b.tech cse seats would be evaluated, however if no seats available for b.tech cse based on your score than the next priority will be considered. so you should be very sincere while filling the choices as per your interest. to know details about counselling process follow our article at below link:

see cutoff score changes every year based on the major determining factors, such as number of applicants, question paper level of difficulty, choice of stream. however computer science is one of the most demanding stream right now, since vit is one of the best college to pursue cse, competition to secure a seat in cse at vit is really hard. however based on analysis of previous years cutoff and expected score you have fair chances to secure cse at main campus i.e Chennai campus.

vit has cse course collaboration with IBM, MU sigma, xebia etc. this course is more job oriented and you would get to work with emerging technologies with are related to current industry trend. so you must study hard and brush up skill apart from your college syllabus. your course completion  certificate would issued by SRM .
