If I consider the return on investment factor in any of the private colleges except bits Pilani, it is very bad. Because if we take up non core branches here still the average packages in these colleges do not go over 5-6 Lakhs. Yes students do get good packages from Amazon, microsoft but the quantity is very minimal and the crowd is too much.

If I consider srm the branch you chose ,it is very demanding in future but if you have an option for any good college like nits or IITs or bits Pilani then go for it then otherwise you can choose these college. It is good. But yes you would be investing 18 lakhs in total and you would get a package of 6-8L if you are pretty average student.

Due to research this college campus is very beautiful. College laboratories are very good and full of new equipments, machines. Computer laboratories are good and full AC. The library is huge. see you have to work really hard right now to join in IT industry. however you have done bachelors in engineering and then masters course, but right now you want to join in IT industry, which is fine but the course structure is really different then mechanical engineering.

now coming to sap, or data science both are different, for data science you need to learn about python, ruby, ms excel, probability and statistics. there is various online lectures available on it follows by courses. some of the popular courses providers are  udemy, coursera, edx, upgrade.

same thing is for SAP also, sap technical module are sap basis and sap abap. however you must have Knowledge of C and SQL before starting of sap course.

now first decide whether you want to join data science or SAP, its along duration of course and would take time.
