Both Msc in data science and computer science is a two year postgraduate programme offered by different institutes in India. MSC in computer science involves study of software engineering, system development, natural computation, mathematical foundations and artificial intelligence. Whereas MSC in data science deals with advance study of data management and analysis.

You can opt for any of the courses depending on your interest and your course at undergraduate level.

Each course has its own pros and cons. Basically, it depends on your interest. If you have interest in programming languages or you like to analyze the problems in softwares then opt for DATA SCIENCE. If you are interested organizing things and people, are able to lmotivate the  people while creating the right conditions for them to do ,what they must do to make the project a success - then project management is your path. Also, project management includes long working hours , might also include travelling. But Data science do not need long working hours, even you can work from home. Also, you can join as IT project management later on in your career after being a data scientist.
