Hence we can not comment on which is best Computer Science and Engineering or Data science and Artifical intelligence but after observing its placement statistics of its first pass out batch we can predict that Computer Science and Engineering is best in IIIT NAYA RAIPUR, because 100% cse students get placed while there is no data regarding Data science and Artifical intelligence.

I know all other things also matters but those things only matters at superficial level, at the end only matters is Placement.

Yes you can go through the Btech CSE Data Science (ML&AI) because machine learning and Artificial Intelligence all the part of data science .In data science you will get all knowledge like programming of python ,R, Bigdata ,Machine learning and artificial intelligence and always dont hope college will provides all education ,if you are really interested in deep knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning then go through various article and deep knowledge of  programming with do different projects in real time based then only you will get lots of knowledge with transferable skills .

Data science being a multidisciplinary field, anyone from any engineering stream  or a non engineering field can pursue it. It includes  statistics, probability, linear algebra, Hypothesis Testing, Analysis of Variance & Covariance and a lot of programming using different languages! So if you pursue CSE, it would be immensely beneficial, if you have other streams in mind you can also go for it because one necessarily doesn't have to be a hard core coder or programmer for learning this but yes, having prerequisite knowledge in Java, R, Python/C or staying in a stream of CSE will definitely help you in the long run if you want a career in it.
