Hello ,
Block chain and big data are some of the top emerging technologies that are going to revolutionize numerous industries. Blockchain, like data science is changing the way industries are operating .
While data science harnesses data for a proper administration, blockchain maintains the trust of data by ensuring data cannot be manipulated. Blockchain is taking over data science and will disrupt it in the long run.
On the other hand, even scope in the future for cyber security is huge. Cyber security is protecting data, computers, network from unauthorised access which will always be in demand.
Hope this helps!
Data science is also a part of computer science but it requires a lot more knowledge of maths and statistics. computer science deals with programming software and hardware where data science deals with analytics , programming , and statistics. The choice between data science or computer science depends upon your future endeavours and goals you want to pursue. According to me VIT chennai would be a much better choice in terms of its ranking and placements which are far better than psg college.
Vit chennai, nirf ranking is under 20
Psg, nirf ranking-46
Median salary for a cs graduate from vit is 8-9 lakh CTC while it's 3-5 lakhs in PSG.
I hope this clears some of your dilemma.
Good luck
hello aspirant,
it actually depends on you which course you want to persue, however both the courses are very good, for students who want to make a career in the computer applications, programming, and software development, for them, the BCA course in data science is better whereas , BSc in nautical science will be a multidisciplinary subject (comprising of science , mathematics and physical training) that deals with techniques and knowledge involved in navigating and operating a ship safely from one point to another.
bsc in Nautical Science degree enables the graduates to become Navigating Officers on-board on merchant ships plying worldwide. Joining as a Deck Cadet after graduation, one needs to complete the training process
in my opinion, both the fields are completely different and it depends on you which course you want to take.
hope that helps
