Both of them are private institutions and have excellent academic history but I suggest to prefer DSC. The rankings of DSC is better and the college is offering great chances of recruitments especially for b tech students. NMIT is also good. If you want to know about CSE cutoff for the  NITS then, for second round of the counseling your rank should be around 10000 in OBC category.

For that your jee mains score should be around 93+.

If you want to know that you have the option to change your branch in second year or no then let me tell you that YES, you can change your department/branch but only if you score more than 85% in your 1st year. Since there is only a small chance that you can change but if you score well than yes you can. Talking about dayanand sagar college the fact remains the same. It's kinda tuff but you can do it.
