Both are just average colleges, you can expect 2-4 lpa package. Academics and knowledge wise both are above average colleges, I would say that VTU colleges are nice for academic and knowledge point of view.

The hostel facility is are average at the Dayananda Sagar College Of Engineering. The hostel fee is around 1,15,000/- per year For Indians. for NRI it is around 1,40,000/- Per year. The NRI hostels are excellent they are neatly maintained and cleaned every day. The food is also superb.GYM facility is also provided to the hostel students. First of all it's difficult to say how the college is because the university has started just 4 years back. Though the faculties are good and bad just like other colleges, infrastructure is good, library very good, timings are fine.

The university management claims that the placement will be centralised in the main campus itself. So there's a high chance of getting placed. It's true to some extent.

Overall it's an average college.

You should wait for the second round of counselling, you might get IT,ISE in the second round.

Just dont lock the college and you would automatically be eligible for the second round of the counselling.
