is it better to take degree ?if so what is best course can I take?

pdwords Student Expert 27th Aug, 2021
Hello,

See, the choice to go for a specific career is more dependent on one's areas of interest, skills, aptitude, job profile one is looking at to be working in future, from your profile it seems you are an engineering aspirant ,so I believe you must be having PCM combinations at 10+2 level, with this there are various options , for example i f you'r interested in technical field, you can go for Engineering/ Architecture course/Railway Apprentice Exam/AME Training, CPL Training, BCA .

In case you're interested in the field of Marine/Navy/Defence, you can appear for IMUCET, Indian Navy BTech Entry Scheme, Indian Army Technical Entry Scheme, Indian Navy Sailors recruitment,National Defence Academy.Naval Academy Examination

If you're academically inclined then you may you can do BS-MS Dual Degree from IISER, or four years BS degree program in IISC(Bangalore) through KVPY, you can also appear for NEST for 5 years integrated MSc program in NISER(Bhubaneshwar)/ UM DAE CABS(Mumbai), you can also go for graduation with majors in subject as per your preference like computer science, physics, chemistry, IT, electronics to name a few, or yo u can apply in Indian Statistical Institute for BSc Maths/Statistics.
after this you can qualify for CSIR NET/SET, become assistant professor or pursue PhD ,

or if you have an interest in the field of teaching, consider opting for Integrated BSc-BEd, this is good choice especially if you want to teach in school level,

Some of the best options outside your field are

NCHMCT JEE for Hotel Management,
NIFT, NID, AIEED for Fashion Designing,
AILET/CLAT/LSAT/LFAT/CUET/BHU UET to name a few for integrated law program
IPMAT/JIPMAT for integrated MBA in IIM Rohtak/Indore/Ranchi/Jammu/Bodh Gaya
Journalism and Mass Communication

While filling the IIFT application form, under the academics section, neither is the name of my course mentioned nor the college. I have a B.design degree from National Institute of fashion technology, now I dont know what should I select since there is no option of writing manually.

Bhavesh gupta 6th Oct, 2021

Hello aspirant

hope you are doing well and safe. As per your query , I would glad to inform you that dont need to get worry ,sometimes it is very difficulty to mention the all the courses by the authorities from their end on the portal so they always make the column others to write the course . I would suggest you to write on that if this option is not available ,then your course is not eligible for the IIFT application

Hope you found this answer informative. Best wishes for your future

Is degree through upgrad valid and is it good..?

Supriya Omi 27th Aug, 2021
Hlo there!
As you know its an online platform and no matter how worth it may cost to you, at the end the degree from a recognized college or university i.e. UGC recognized is given preference.
So it may add a value to your resume but later on, you need a college resume to appear as a well learned aspirant.
Good Luck!

Can one pursue masters degree in two different subjects? Basically, can one pursue the degree twice, once in the graduation subject and the second time in some other (that has been ones generic elective in College)? Also, is it beneficial to pursue PG twice or would one just be wasting their time?

Vanshika Nangia 6th Oct, 2021

Hello dear applicant,

Hope you’re doing well..

yes, you can do post graduation or masters in two different subjects. But not at the same time, otherwise one degree would be invalid.

You can do one after other. And yes, it is useful for some courses. Also, you know, knowledge and education never go waste. It has benefits in specific jobs or fields mostly in teaching.
if you have the capability, ability and capacity to pursue masters twice, go for it. It will give you some benefit for sure and no harm in doing so.

One degree you can pursue regular, other you may do from open along with some job or other things

All the best for your future

is there a degree in cloud computing

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 26th Aug, 2021

hi,

see actually there is no particular b.sc course or professional degree course offers just on cloud computing. if you opt for b.tech in computer science or cse specialize with cloud computing you may get valuable insight on cloud computing while studying. or you may opt for b.sc in computer science or bca course to get   occupied with computer science related courses.

however the best course would be b.tech in cse or cse with specialization of cloud computing.

hope it helps.

I am last year degree student. our university conducted only first and second semester exams. Result of these both exams are not published yet. so, how can we show our semester marks in cat registration form at the time of filling it?If any proof from university is needed?

Isha singh 29th Aug, 2021

hello,

hope you are doing well!

This is the criteria given or last year student on the official site :

Candidates in the final year: Candidates with “promotion/pass” instead of “award of marks” certificates in any of the last two years of the bachelor’s program can enter the “Promotion or Pass” option in the application form. This will allow the candidate to complete & submit the CAT2021 application form despite the requirements of minimum eligibility criteria (45% and 50% [or equivalent CGPA] respectively). This eligibility relaxation is also applicable to those final year students with “award” of marks. • This exception is available only to candidates who are completing the bachelor’s degree this year or are in the final year bachelor’s’ programme (graduation years – 2021 and 2022)

Best Of Luck

Hope This will help!
