I am ST girl candidate can we change branch at IIT Delhi from biotechnology to E. C. E

Hi
Every IIT has different policies for branch change. ... But one of the things it is relatively easier to get a branch change in the new generation IITs because the number of students is lesser and hence the competition is also considered to be a bit less.

Changing branch at IITs is possible after completing the first year. Students with exceptionally good grades are allowed to change their branch
Thank you.

I got obc ncl rank 44000 in jee mains.can i get a seat in DTU or NSUT? I am from outside Delhi region.

Vivek Kumar 23rd Sep, 2021

Hi aspirant since you have 44000 as your OBC NCL category rank so according to that there are somehow less chances for you to get into any of the colleges you have mentioned in your question.

But in place of that you can search for other good college. For this you can also try college predictor tool by careers360(link mentioned below);

I have given my permanent address same as my correspondence address I. e is Delhi in NEET 2021 form. but I have domicile of Uttarakhand ...am I eligible for state quota? If not what shall I do?

Manisha nayak 14th Aug, 2021

Hello student,

Hope you are in good health. So the answer to your question is as follows:-

Neet 2021 is going to be held on 12th september 2021, and it is the entrance exam to get admission in various courses like MBBS , BDS, AYUSH COURSES, BSC nursing this year. So , NEET have 2 type of quota in the counselling , first one is

  • State quota - Eligibility for the State Quota Seats (85%) ; All states participating in NEET 2021 would be able to fill 85 percent of MBBS/BDS seats through state counselling, with the remaining 15% of seats being filled through centralised All India counselling. The states' eligibility for the 85 percent quota seats is listed below:

Candidates must have finished or be scheduled to complete their 10th and 12th grades in the state.
The candidate must be a legal resident of the state.
The candidate must be able to show proof of residency in the state.
  • Seats in government medical institutions are reserved under the 15% All India Quota:-According to the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admissions) Act, 2006, 15% of seats in Central Educational Institutions are reserved for SC applicants, 7.5 percent for ST candidates, and 27 percent of seats in Central Educational Institutions are allocated for OBC students exclusively.

So, in your case if you apply for state quota in Uttarakhand then you have to make sure that you show the domicile certificate at the time of counselling then only you will be eligible for state quota admission.

Hope this helps!
