Hello, can you please inform me about the cmat cut off for OBC category. I scored 89% in SSC, 67% in HSC & 64% in my grad. Do I hold chance.

Monika Shruti Gupta 22nd Jan, 2018
Hello,
Dear CMAT is an examination for taking admission in various MBA examinations. CMAT or AICTE for that matter doesn't release any cutoff for any category. It is, rather the institutes which release cutoffs.
So which Institute's cutoff are you actually interested in?  Please let us know so that we can answer your question more precisely.
Anyway, following is the list of cutoffs of few colleges that might be of your interest:
*Jamanalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbaj- 95.6 percentile
*Goa Institute of Management, Goa - 95.2 percentile
*K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies &  Research - 95.1 percentile
*XISS Ranchi - 88 percentile
*Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi - 70 percentile
*Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai -  275 score

Note - These are tentative cutoffs and CMAT cutoffs are not officially declared as such. It may again vary this year because these institutes consider scores of other exams as well.
All the best!!

MY CMAT PERCENTILE IS 97.64 ALL INDIA CATE. CAN I GET PUMBA?

Akshay Kadam 2nd Apr, 2018

Yes Saurav with your 97.64 percentile you have a fair chance to get admission in PUMBA whose last year cut-off was 96.42 percentile but we can't be sure about admission because it is expected that cut-off might rise a little bit this time and it will be not possible for you to get PUMBA in the first round of CAP, you may need to wait for 2nd or 3rd round of CAP to reserve your seat in PUMBA.

With your such a high percentile you also have a high probability of getting admission in top b-schools like:

  • Prin. LN Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research, Mumbai
  • IES Management College and Research Centre, Mumbai
  • MET's Institute of Management, Mumbai
  • Chetana's Ramprasad Khandelwal Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai
  • Indian Education Society's Management College & Research Centre, MumbaiLala Lajpatrai Institute of Management, Mumbai
  • Lala Lajpatrai Institute of Management, Mumbai
  • MAEER's MIT School of Management, Pune
  • Zagdu Singh Charitable Trust's Thakur Institute of Management Studies & Research, Mumbai
  • Shree C. E. Society's Indira Institute of Mgmt
  • Chanakya Education Society's (Indira College of Engineering & Mgmt)
  • Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Kothrud
  • Sinhgad Technical Education Society's Sinhgad Inst of Mgmt, Vadgaon (Budruk)
  • Modern Education Society's Neville Wadia Institute of Mgmt Studies & Research

Akshay Kadam 2nd Apr, 2018

Even after you have avail scholarship in JSPM and you will be withdrawing from JSPM to complete your post-graduation from PUMBA then also you can definitely avail scholarship for your SC category/minority scholarship/merit scholarship / some of the scholarships issued by the state government or different organizations. There is no problem in availing scholarship again.
