see diploma pass  students can get admission in btech second year through lateral entry entrance test, which conducts state wise , to the government and private colleges. however some colleges has own entrance test, and some of the colleges takes admission through diploma marks, do mention the college name,

PG diploma is a post graduate diploma degree where as MBA is a Masters degree so you can get placement by doing both of them. Some college have same placement cell for these some doesn't. Because both are different in respect of degree.
