This process is feasible as long as the school affiliation is same and your new college comes under same

university. For changing you would like to follow few process which is mentioned

The probability of third phase depends on the vacancies in second round. 

Having not mentioned which state polycet you are talking about its difficult to give you relates information. 

Hence revert it back with the state information.

the last year cutoff for polytechnic in automobile engineering varies between 542 - 6000 appp. So I hope there is a chance for you to get admission in GOVT. college . Further depends upon your CATEGORY .

To get admission directly in 2nd year of college the only provision allowed is lateral entry scheme. So my advice to you is to make a list of colleges of polytechnic colleges in Indore and check on their official website if there is provision for lateral scheme

Well if your interested in diploma courses you have to definitely apply for the polytechnic exam. If you missed your chance of attempting polycet then study class 11 and 12 and then do a specific engineering branch you are interested in the naac recognized colleges.
