my score 485 in neet what are my chances in MOP UP round . i have domicile of west bengal

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 8th Nov, 2021

Hi

I am  assuming  you from general category

It's quite difficult to predict because cut off  depends upon various factors like

------------) number of students that appeared in the neet exam,

------------) kind of marks obtained by them ,

------------)  toughness level of the neet examination

------------)  number of seats available etc

When we go through previous data then

>>>>>>>>> With 485 marks,

You have low chances in government medical colleges for MBBS

For example

In Neet 2020,  for mbbs  seat in Government Medical College under west Bengal state quota for general category  36907 was closing rank when translated into marks it was around  568 marks in neet 2020 and it was for COOCHBEHAR GOVT MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL

Even for Government quota seats in private medical colleges abroad chances are low

You have chances in following private medical colleges  for management quota mbbs in west Bengal which are listed below :-

  • Shri Ramkrishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Durgapur

  • Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Kolkata

  • IQ City Medical College and Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Durgapur

  • ICARE Institute of Medical Science and Research and Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy Hospital, Haldia

And a few more

You can check past year cut off at

Hey. Aspirant...

The following is a list of various government medical colleges in Odisha, along with their respective cut-offs for admission under the State quota for general admission. As a result, based on your ranking, you don't appear to have much of a chance at government colleges. The chances of getting into a government college under the All India Quota are also slim. I have scored 279 marks with an AIR of 384047 and SC rank of 40211. My domicile state is west bengal. Will I get any private medical colleges in wb under management quota??

piyush263001 8th Nov, 2021

Hello,

NEET 2021 results have been declared by the National Testing Agency NTA.

To predict whether you will definitely get a seat in a college is an uphill task as cut-offs for colleges change every depending upon several factors such as-

• Number of applicants in NEET exam

• NEET question paper difficulty level

• Score of the candidates in NEET 2021 result

• MBBS/BDS seat matrix 2021

NEET 2021 Cut-off goes like :-

• General /EWS- 50th percentile

• SC/ST/OBC - 40th percentile

• General-PwD - 45th percentile

• SC/ST/OBC-PwD - 40th percentile

Marks wise cut off is as following-

• General - 720-138

• OBC/SC/ST - 137-108

• Gen PwD - 137-122

• (OBC /SC / ST ) PwD - 121-108

Though it was expected that due to higher difficulty level of examination cut-off for colleges will decrease, but it turns out students have performed exceptionally well and the cut offs have increased compared to last year.

See it is quite difficult to help you with the exact list of colleges as the counselling is yet to be conducted and the cut-offs keep on changing every year.

According to previous year data, it would be very difficult for you to get Government Medical Colleges and Private Medical Colleges in West Bengal with your marks.

Though you can try few deemed Universities. Here is a list of few universities where you can get seat-

• Aarupadai Veedu Medical College and Hospt., Puducherry:- 192 marks

•Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital, Chennai:- 189 marks

• Shri Satya Sai Medical College and RI, Kancheepuram:- 173 marks

• Meenakshi Medical College Host. and Res. Inst., Chenna:- 169 marks

• Saveetha Medical College, Chennai:- 265 marks

• Dr. DYP Edu. Soc. Deemed Uni., Kolhapur:- 262 marks

• Vinayaka Missions Medical College and Hospital, Karaikal:- 257 marks

• Krishna Institute of Medical Sc., Karad:- 253 marks

• Sri Lakshmi Narayana Inst. of Med. Scien., Puducherry:- 152 marks

I am a female from General category having secured 640 marks in NEET UG 2021 with AIR 6053. I have got Delhi domicile but missed the IPU registration process. What are the chances and options available to me. Your college predictor is showing only two colleges i.e. BSA and NDMC which are under IPU.

rajeevanand843 7th Nov, 2021

Dear aspirant

Even if you missed the registration process, you might get good college through AIQ counseling. Also counseling has not been started so there are chances that IP may open window for registration once again for short time.

Although you have High chance of getting Lady Hardinge Medical College for Women, New Delhi which comes under delhi university, last year cut off marks for girls gen category candidate was Air 6349 and 638 marks.

So you can go for this college as it is one of the best college for girls in india.
