Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar
Hey aspirant,
Based on previous year's cutoff at NIT Jalandhar, it would be difficult to get a seat in CS branch with your category rank. However you may get admission for a few other branches with your rank.
Nevertheless, you should go for State & JoSAA counselling since you have a good score.
To find out more about your chances of admission for a course of your choice at a top institute, check out Careers360's JEE Main College Predictor 2020 in the link below:

Refer previous year cutoff of NIT Jalandhar with the given link.
As per the previous year cutoff the chances are very good to get a seat in NIT Jalandar, but you have to compromise with branch.
You can get seat in Bio Technology, Chemical Engineering etc.,

Dear Aspirant,
You have worked really hard and scored a really good percentile. But still the selection procedure of NITs is a bit tough and only top 5 perecntile students get selected. But still as NIT Agartala and NIT Jalandar are Second tier NITs your possibility of getting chemical branch is still considerable. But you would have to wait till the 7th and special rounds. But I would sugggest you to take a seat as a backup in a good college so as not to put your career on stake.Hope my answer resolves your query.Best of luck.Keep working hard for JEE Advanced.

Hello mam,
Congratulations on the result.Since NITs are preffered to IIITs i suggest you to go for NIT jalandar as it is better than NIT hamirpur according to the rankings. If you prefer branch over college,ECE has wide opportunities as the student can go either towards core side or software side
Hello student,
Congratulations on your result.Through your result it is a bit difficult for you to get a seat in NITs,IIITs and GFTIs.However,I suggest you to use the college predictor

Keep calm and stay positive. All the best
Hi aspirant,
NIT Jalandhar is one of the good NITs of our country. The seat allocation under JoSAA in these NITs is based on category rank and you have not mentioned your category. Hence it is bit difficult for me to answer it properly. Nevertheless, if you belong to General category then to get top branches you need to get really good percentile like 97 or 98 plus. The maximum closing rank for previous year for general category candidates in NIT Jalandhar was around 83,000 for Production and industrial engineering under homestate quota and the maximum closing rank for general category candidates was around 40,000 for Biotechnology under other state quota. If you are interested in such branches and to you have homestate quota then you will have to get 93 or 94 percentile approximately.
Hope I answered your query.
You have obtained 92 percentile in JEE Main and want to get admission in NIT Jalandhar. With this percentile your Common Rank list (CRL) would be 84,000. You have not mentioned your category. Hence it is bit difficult to tell this. Nevertheless, you can use our college predictor tool by clicking on the following link to predict your college and branch: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?ici=cp-listing_engineering&icn=JEE-Main-College-Predictor
You have obtained 92 percentile in JEE Main and are willing to take admission in NIT Jalandhar. The seat allocation in JoSAA is done based on category. You have not mentioned your category which restricts me to not answer more than this. Nevertheless, Based on 92 percentile your Common Rank list (CRL) rank would be 84,000. With this rank it will be pretty hard for you to get NIT Jalandhar unless you belong to very reserved categories.
