Can I get into NIT Durgapur with 75.09 percentile in JEE MAIN for ECE? I belong to OBC-NCL category of West Bengal.

Shudhanshu Gupta Student Expert 31st Aug, 2020
Hello.
At your mentioned percentile your approximate all India rank would be around : 216,470 and last year cutoff in NIT Durgapur for ECE branch went around 13k so with this comparison you don't have chances of getting into NIT Durgapur for ECE branch.

Hello.
With 75 percentile in JEE mains you have degraded chances of getting into NIT with your category you still don't have chances,
But there are various colleges or deemed universities which take admission on the basis of JEE mains percentile for this you can predict through the provided link:

Should i change my branch from civil to cse or ece or it at nitj?Is it useful to change my branch? If yes which branch should i choose and why?

Yash Chouhan 24th Aug, 2020

Hey Aspirant,

Every branch is good in their own way. It just the matter of interest but if you seriously want to change your branch then you can go for computer science and engineering as today everything is about software development and programming and the market is hot there so there are various opportunities there as people from all branches learn coding just to get into some IT company so there is a option. So just do some research about the branch and then decide.

Hope this helps.

All the best and Thank you!

Suresh v 18th Jul, 2020

Hello aspirant!!!

You have got a very good percentile in hee mains examination. You might be getting your preferred course in your preferred college if you belong to Sc or ST since you belong to general catogory you will not be getting into that college.  Though you get into nit you may not be getting your dream course.

which is best m. SC in mathematics, nit jalandhar or puduchery university

S. Saha Student Expert 10th Jul, 2020
Both Pondicherry University and NIT Jalamdhat are good but when compared to Pondicherry University, NIT Jalandhar would be great to join for higher studies. All the faculties are extremely talented and experienced. Placements are pretty good here. Companies like Mu Sigma, TCS hire MSc Mathematics graduates under various job roles like Statistician, Quantitative Risk Analyst, Business Analyst etc. NIT Jalandhar has received 74th rank in universities by Careers360. Though its a silly one...but do the NITs provide bicycles to its students to facilitate them in moving from one part of the campus to another...someone just said me this...I dont think they do, do they?

Udit Narayan 30th May, 2020

Hello,

Yes they do provide bicycles to its students to facilitate them in moving from one campus to another but you have to keep in mind that this is not provided to each student separately, there are few cycles present in the hostels of the NIT and you can take the permission from the warden and use them for your work and by end of the have to return it back to them.

I hope I have cleared your doubt.
