in 26 june shift 2 i scored 58 marks ...i m obc ncl will i get NIT JALANDHAR ...HIME STATE PUNJAB..ALSO I CLEARED ADV OR NOT ?...RANK PERCENTILE

Anurag Khanna 7th Jul, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

See it is quite difficult to tell you an exact figure of your percentile and rank because it keeps on changing every year depending upon various factors but yes we can help you with approximate figures on the basis of analysis of previous year's data.

So If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2021 then according to the marks mentioned by you in the question your percentile and OBC rank are expected to be in the range of 70-84 and around 60000-65000 respectively.

You can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Note that the percentile and rank which are predicted is only the expected percentile and rank on the basis of previous year's data so your actual percentile  and rank might vary depending upon current factors.

On such percentile range and being an OBC candidate you have good chances to qualify for JEE-Advance 2022 but still the cutoffs for this year have not released yet officially.

As the cut-offs are released along with the JEE-Main 2022 result so for now you can get an idea from JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-offs that are enlisted below :-

==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile

==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile

==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile

Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2022 but previous year's cut-off.

You can check out previous year's cut-off trends from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

Based on such OBC rank and also considering your Home state quota for NIT Jalandhar you have decent chances to get following branches in it :-

Bio Technology

Chemical Engineering

Civil Engineering

Industrial and Production Engineering

Instrumentation and Control Engineering

Textile Technology

which we choose IT IN NIT kurukshetra or CSE in nit jalandhar

omarunpandey 16th Jun, 2022

Dear aspirant,

Both IT in NIT kurukshetra and CSE in NIT Jalandhar are very good branch and colleges.

Both don't have much difference in curriculum as IT and CSE are similar branches. Some students prefer CSE as it is mother branch of IT. But some prefer NIT kurukshetra for it's closeness to the Delhi - NCR which attracts many companies. Further Both colleges are equally good.

Placement:- Both college have good placement in both respective branches.

NIT kurukshetra IT -  Average package 13.72 lakh.

NIT Jalandhar CSE - Average package 16 lakh. ( according to students)

nit jalandhar civil vs iiit kota ece

pandeyadarsh951 30th Dec, 2021

First of all decide which branch you are comfortable with is it ece that interests you more or civil by doing this you will get first hint towards your answer now going by institution nit jalandhar being an established and old institute has its own advantages like good alumni network broad company base for placements and better competition among students on the other hand iiit kota ece  is newly established and is improving day by day with good packages and high placement percentage so choose by yourself which one you want to choose in my opinion if you are comfortable with core branches then nit jalandhar civil will be good option

What should i choose for electronics and communication engineering (ece) branch..... Nit jalandhar or nit kurukshetra or nit hamirpur or nit surat (svnit) or nit Bhopal or nit Durgapur please provide preference order

pandeyadarsh951 29th Dec, 2021

All the colleges are great in their own unique way but considering the same branch the pick of them is nit kurukshetra as it is closer to delhi which in itself an advantage also it has better nirf ranking after this you can go with manit bhopal then nit jalandhar then durgapur then svnit and then hamirpur in no way I am contradicting that any college is better than the other as all are good in their own way and also since you are talking about ece which is a good branch so it hardly makes any difference but at the end the pick amongst all is nit kurukshetra.

kya prefer karu agar mujhe start up ke liye brand name ke saath saath placement backup option rakhna hai!Can you suggest which would best Among nit kurukshetra ece vs nit Durgapur ece vs mnit Jaipur ece vs nit Jalandhar cse vs nit Raipur cse vs nsit ece vs dtu ece vs dtu it(chance in spot round)

pandeyadarsh951 20th Dec, 2021

DTU IT is the best option present with you at the moment its not that all other college you mentioned are not at par with dtu but you told that you want to start a startup so delhi is the best place to do so as it is full of resources also dtu it placements are great so you will have a backup option as well. Also delhi exposure for startups is great in its initial years so dtu is the best option for you.

should i choose IGDTUW cse or nit jalandhar ice

piyush singh 10th Dec, 2021

Dear Aspirant

As for the college IGDTUW and NIT Jalandhar both are decent institutions.

If you have interest in coding and want to pursue a career in coding, IGDTUW is  the best option. Since you are getting CSE in IGDTUW I am guessing you have a pretty good rank and you have Delhi Home state quota so going to opt ICE in NIT Jalandhar away from your state is not worth your time and effort.

Hope this helps
