Dear aspirant,
As you have secured 1.6L rank in JEE mains so let me tell you that if you are from general category then there is no chance for you to get nit jalandhar in any branch but if you are from sc category then you stand good chances to get lower branches like civil, textile, production engineering.
Although various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.

I think your first should be IIIT Lucknow because it has better coding culture and placement. It ranks higher than NIT.
Then your second Choice should be NIT Jalandhar
- NIT jamshedpur
- IIIT Gwalior
Then others....
I hope you got my point
Goodluck!
Hello aspirant
hope you are doing great. As per your query I would glad to tell you that scope of civil engineering is not very good in india , so placements of civil branches in civil organizations are quite average but if you to get job in IT sector , then NIT jalandar is best for your civil stream . You will get definately low coding culture in your branch but at last students of all branches get same opporrutnities in placements
Hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future
