DRDO conducts a set exam for the post of scientist.Candidates having first class degree in Science engineering technology,electronics,communication,mechanical engineering and computer science can apply for set exam.
Age limit to apply for DRDO set exam is 28 years and only Indian citizen could apply for it.
Another exam is through GATE , nowadays DRDO recruits candidate through GATE exam The candidates are selected through Gate exam and are invited for interviews.

Yes, ISRO or DRDO /HAL etc accept foreign degrees. Please visit ISRO website for the openings. Please do PG in good specializations in Aerospace/Aeronautics and this help you to get the jobs.
There is no restriction on employing people obtaining post graduation from foreign countries for jobs in ISRO. But the degree you are obtaining should be from a University which is recognised by their country and it should be on par with our M.Tech. So choose a good University and a good specialisation in the concerned subject and do the needful. The ISRO will be giving advertisements for recruitment. Keep watching for their announcements. see indian space research institute and defense research and development institute is prominent organization in india. however every year there is various recruitment comes through isro and drdo. the organization conducts written test of mcq type generally based on the work position. the recruitment process and written test and personal Interview rounds.
however it is not possibly say about which year recruitment would comes for geology professional. so it would be best for you if you get any job in iits placement.

Yes you can. Many vacancies for Junior research fellow in projects are out in ISRO which demands MSc in geology. Apart if you are good at GIS or Remote sensing concepts and Software for data analysis its an added advantage for you. DRDO organise MTS CEPTAM exam every year based on the vacancies. It is conducted once in a year. MTS exam is conducted for Multi Tasking Staff. Examination mode is online.

To apply for DRDO you have to pass a bachelor's degree in science/ 3- years diploma in other streams from a recognized institute . The students who are also eligible to apply for DRDO 2020.Those who design equipment at DRDO are called Scientists, there is no designation such as weapon designer. so, you want to become DRDO scientists (DRDS officers).
Today, DRDO is a network of more than 50 laboratories which are deeply engaged in developing defence technologies covering various disciplines, like aeronautics, armaments, electronics, combat vehicles, engineering systems, instrumentation, missiles, advanced computing and simulation, special materials, naval systems, life sciences, training, information systems and agriculture. Several major projects for the development of missiles, armaments, light combat aircrafts, radars, electronic warfare systems etc are on hand and significant achievements have already been made in several such technologies.

DRDO recruits the candidates through Centre for Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM), it is the Entrance Test for the candidates who wish to join in the DRDO.
There are many sub-branches of DRDO like Defence institute of bioenergy research & others which have undergraduates for their Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and many students for Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) or other research fellows.
