PSU's like DRDO always needs Physicists as well as Engineering Physics graduates for there R&D purposes. With a good gate score you can apply for the DRDO or get a shortlisted call from there side (if you have extremely good results). The DRDO interviews are of 4-5 panelists. I hope my answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
No you will not be eligible to apply for DRDO recruitment process for scientist B post because to be eligible you will first have to complete your graduation with at least First Class Bachelor’s Degree only then you will be able to apply with a valid GATE score. So you cannot apply in 3rd year of b.tech for DRDO. You can use your 3rd year GATE score for later year of DRDO recruitment too. So even if you get less score in the GATE exam which you will give it in your 4th year you will still have a chance by using your GATE score that you give in 3rd year. But unless you complete your B.tech you will not be eligible.
Hi aspirant,
You have a lot of scope in DRDO.The Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) releases its job notification on recent DRDO recruitment every year for diploma openings across India.
There is a huge opportunity for diploma holders ,Graduate Apprentice, Technician, Diploma Apprentice in DRDO.
You need to pass the examination. For more, you can check the notification on their official website.
Hope that helps.
Hi,
Yes, you can join DRDO after diploma. You have not mentioned the stream in which you have pursued your diploma. If you have completed your three years diploma in Engineering/Computer Science/Technology/allied subjects from a recognized institution, then you can join DRDO. You need to additionally undergo the entrance exam screening and interview. However, the post of appointment may vary depending upon the position for which you are opting /educational qualification.
Hey Abhishek,
You cannot join DRDO while you are during your BSc but you can sure do go for it after your graduation i.e. after finishing you degree. Though if you want to go for the post store assistant or an administrator assistant you eligible for it, In fact its eligibility is only 12th pass.
In a simple language what I am saying here is that most of the technical positions/Higher level positions are beyond limits for the people who are not a graduate. In DRDO there are clerks who are just 12th pass, on the other hand there are officers who are graduates. That's the difference.
You will get more opportunities after you graduate.
Hope it Helps!
Good Luck
Hi Priyanshu !
DRDO recruits engineers through the following :
1)Through Gate/NET
2)Through apprenticeship
3)Through their own exam sometimes
4)Through direct interview for contract basis.
Every year RAC of DRDO recruits Scientists in DRDS mostly at entry level (Scientist 'B'). However, depending on the requirements in specialized areas of research & development, limited number of scientists are also recruited in higher grades (Scientist 'C' to Scientist 'H').
Qualifying GATE is mandatory eligibility for Recruitment in DRDO. Other than that, candidates also have to appear for a written descriptive test followed by a personal interview as a part of DRDO recruitment through the GATE 2021 procedure. Candidates will be allowed to work for DRDO only after qualifying for all the stages.
The elgibility criteria goes like this:
So,As you are now pursuing your B.tech in Metallurgical Engineering,it is recommended that you start preparing for the GATE and you must have the knowledge of the above mentioned languages.
After the completion of your degree, you can apply through the DRDO official website along with your GATE score. The short-listed applicants on the basis of their GATE score and other criteria have to appear for a written test and a personal interview (PI).
All the best !! Feel free to ask if you have any more queries.
