If you are sure you will get into the other college with high cut-off in the 4th or 5th admission list then you may wait for the admission process of the other college but I think it will be safe to take the admission into the former college where

It depends upon the course you choose. There are courses that do no require maths as a subject, such as, B.Sc Chemistry, Biology, Zoology, Botany, Anthropology, BA programme, English hons, Pol sci hons, etc.

The marks are a bit less to get admission in DU.
The cutoff for the DU B.Com is expected to be 95-97.50% and for B.com hons 93-97.75%.
But don't lose hope you can try other colleges. There are many good colleges.
