Im good in mathematics i want to become a civil servant but in case i did not qualified UPSC then i can keep economist as a backup plan then should i choose arts in class 11? as it contains almost same subject as UPSC and... is economics is available in Arts and maths as optional?

Yes you can apply in JNU for MA economics with that percentage. The eligibility criteria for taking admission for post graduation is minimum of 50 percentage.

According to the UGC rule student  can change his choice of subject within the 30 days of the last date of admission not in the next year after  his taking admission in  prior choice of subjects .
