Why SLR is being reduced even in inflationary times ?

because govt is recklessly spending money in subsidy which in turn increase money supply.

as we know in slr we have quota of govt securities which banks have to buy which in turn gives money to govt for spending thats why rbi is reducing slr which in turn reduces quota

Can Indian banks lend or invest the money kept as " SLR " ?

Hi

Banks need to maintain their SLR requirement only in the form of cash, gold or goverment approved securities. They cannot lend this amount as this reserve is maintained for cases when bank might start experiencing excess withdrawls.

IIT Madras offers 5 year integrated MA Humanities programmes. It offers MA in English as well as in Development Studies. There is an entrance test called HSEE for admission to this.
