I have got a score of 796 (EE). What are my chances at IISc and older IITs for VLSI?

Anantika Kushwaha 5th Apr, 2020
Hello Pramod,

You have a decent chance at the older IITs for interdisciplinary branch- VLSI and also the core branches.

If you belong to the General category then getting admission in IISC might be a little difficult. However your chances will increase if you have reservations.

My gate 2020 score is 622 (Marks are 54.67) and AIR 1898 in electrical engineering and category OBC-NCL. which college should i apply for. Is there a slightest chance for any good IIT? my branch prefference is VLSI.

Anantika Kushwaha 4th Apr, 2020
Hello Aspirant,

You have a chance at IITs. However you might not get the top stream there. As the cut off for every stream differs. You can also try out at the new IITs with VLSI as your preference. You have a nice chance at NITs as well.

I have a gate score of 443 in 2020 electrical paper under general category.. can I get a direct admission to BITS through my gate score alone without writing bits hd test?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 3rd Apr, 2020

hi,

see cutoff score changes every year and it depends on number of participants, seat matrix, questions difficulty level etc, so at this score you have less chances for core stream in bits by gate score. so to become safe side it will be good if you participate in bits

hi,

see this year gate cutoff for electrical engineering is going to increase, so we expect that the cutoff will be higher for ee, however the cutoff for psu's also depends on number of vacancy will come, but you have decent chances for nits and lower rank iits like iit

Hello,

After BTech, you can only do MTech. MSc is not allowed in India. if you want to do MSc then you have to apply in aboard.

as your question is not clear and so far it is understandable, you are asking for Mtech at IIT, for get an admission
